Thanks for your note!
If you are seeking a Lost & Found item, please start HERE.
Thank you!
LOCKN’ Info Team
Is there going to be a dedicated 'Lumni camping area? Or as some have speculated "'Lumni = Early Bird" pricing only.
Going with 'Lumni forest camping hoping that 'Lumni forest camping will be in the same area.

"GA, VIP & Super VIP ‘Lumni tickets will go on sale this FRIDAY, September 16 at 12PM EDT for a limited time (don’t wait!), and for the FIRST TIME EVER ‘Lumni camping passes will be available at special ‘Lumni prices. ‘Lumni campers will have the option to camp in a designated ‘Lumni Camping area so you can hang with dedicated LOCKN’ family."
(I added the Bold)
Last year(if I recall correctly) there was only 1 'Lumni ticket option. I believe it was the same price as GA tent and my 'Lumni camping pass put me in a very spacious forested area.
This year I emailed Lockn because there were many "'Lumni" camping options, no text about "hang with dedicated LOCKN’ family", and I wanted to be sure to purchase the proper camping pass so that I'm camping in the same area as last year(if it exists this year.) I realize that the fine people organizing this years event probably do not know what's up with 'Lumni camping yet and like last year expect we purchasers will except whatever they concoct last minute. I won last year. I want to win this year.
'Lumni forest camping was purchased this year in hopes that will it be in the same area as last year although much more expensive.

BTW who is in charge of their social media? It’s geared more to teenage girls than people who support the kind of bands that play Lockn
Peace out

NELSON COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A local music festival is one of the most "politically active" in the country for 2017.
HeadCount is a national nonpartisan nonprofit that uses music to engage young people in the democracy by going to concerts and music festivals and registering attendees to vote or signing them up for election alerts.
The LOCKN' Festival in Nelson County ranks as the ninth most socially conscious and politically active festival based on how many people were registered to vote or signed up for the alerts.
According to a tweet from HeadCount, 570 people were registered at the August festival.
Other festivals in the top ten include Okeechobee in Florida, Bonnaroo in Tennessee, Electric Forest in Michigan, Newport Folk in Rhode Island, Firefly in Delaware, Peach festival in Pennsylvania, Governor's ball in New York, Bass Center X in Virginia, and 420 Fest in Georgia.
They label it as politically active because of the presence of Heacount and the work that they do to get young people registered to vote. I don't care which way you lean but this is a good thing. While there is always an artist or two at Lockn who has to speak out about something going on in the world this is far from a political festival.
If you are around here long enough you will notice that this is a "politics-free" zone. And yea I have to agree on the social media...

Said it was Chairman Mao..."
Lockn is apolitical. People with clipboards encouraging voter registration--is that what they were doing?--was unobtrusive and content-neutral. There were a few group T-shirts concerning the pipeline and a fund-raiser for Charlottesville that occurred 2 weeks before.
In fact, the promoters, concerned about socio-political overtones, announced a ban on flags and banners, which in application, was directed at political ones. None appeared and Idoubt they would have anyway.
There is a row of non-profits' tents with non-controversial purposes (poverty, education, conservation) and they are easy to avoid if one is so inclined.
The group self-promoting its importance did not do the festival any favors with that inaccurate "award."
