We talked today about this years line up and came to the same conclusion. It’s a little lukewarm, but very comfortable; like ones favorite pair of old jeans. We are definitely looking forward to it.
Although we are totally stoked about seeing Gary Clark and Galactic on the bill, being acts we really dig, we are a little confused by Gary Clarke playing a Thursday slot, and Galactic being at Garcia’s instead of The Big Stage. But regardless, we are grateful they will be there.
Party on!

But, I’m excited about the line-up, looking forward to the upcoming surprises, and wishing it was warm.

I need to warm up to the children. Few of the second generation live up to the name, and I won't goo see them because of the name. They need to earn it.

I am always in the camp of longer sets/less artists because bands in our scene need room to flow. I’ll touch on some things Lizard didn’t because I am honestly so hype about this lineup.
Moonalice w Chamber Brothers. This sounds so freaking interesting to me. Their collaboration with Jorma was an afterthought a couple years ago and it ended up being a highlight. Barry Sless is a freaking beast. How they will mesh together - I don’t know. But those are some great songs to start with - i know I’m excited to hear Time Has Come Today and People Get Ready. I am ready!
Jason Isbell. Legitimately one of the best artists i could hope for. Have seen him for years and absolutely love his music and his band is a treat. He can really let loose on the guitar and I expect he will. Hope he brings his wife with him because she brings shows to a new level.
Andy Frasco & the UN. You guys. I have been calling for this for years. You could not pick a better person to kick this festival off for real (after rockn to lockn I’m sure). The energy of this band is insane and I highly suggest seeing them if they come near you.
Liz Cooper and the Stampede. So much yes. This girl had it going ON. I love that record and I hear she ups the ante live. We were supposed to see them this week but i ended up in, well, Budapest. There are worse things.
St. Paul - this band gets better and better with every record. So much fun to see live and I am considering this my true Sunday gospel.
Finally, freaking moe. playing moe. Phil is divisive and i didn’t think the set was as bad as some people, but this is a band who deserves to play there own music.
Ok one last thing. Y’all know Pres Hall is gonna play all over the place right? My God I am ready

Jason Isbell--outstanding in concert. "I don't want to die/ in a Super 8 motel/just because someone's evening/wasn't going well."
St. Paul--never miss them!

If Peach had a better lineup in your opinion than Lockn, was 4 hours closer and was cheaper, would you still do Lockn?

I am not knocking anybody who makes a decision on what festival to do based on distance to travel, price of ticket, cost to get there, etc I am simply saying I am surprised to read that people are saying peach has better headliners that is all. I did peach and Lockn last year. I go to festivals to see something I can’t see at a normal local show. I did peach last year because of the little feat waiting for Columbus set and because it was my only chance to see Dickey Betts, dark side of mule and I knew Phil was going to come out and do the eyes with twiddle and he did. I do Lockn every year because I have left the farm every year saying to myself I just saw something I will never see again and I’m glad I did NOT miss it haha

And here's the thing: we'll find out based on ticket sales and attendance. Even if we don't know actual numbers, it'll be obvious if the crowds are smaller. If it draws less well, that might make for a more intimate experience--but it won't be good for building up a long-term fan base. And who knows: maybe attendance will be huge and the strategy will work. Again: we'll find out.

YES! I do Lockn every year because since 2014 that has become my second home and such a magical place. No other place will peoples hearts touch you like they do @ Lockn. Every year I cry when I arrive and I cry when I leave. I'll keep coming back as long as they'll still have me. Price has never been an issue or reason not to see music for me. I just paid $350 just for Saturday night nosebleeds section to see Panic @ DPAC March 30th....You can't put a price on priceless memories to be had...plus it's just money...I'll just make more of it!
Last year I got to ride my bike all over Lockn and explore even more than I ever had before. I got to chill with Amy and other friends in the woods, see all my forum friends @ the meet and greet, and of course got my annual kiss and pic with my gf by the LOVE sign. The year they stop doing Lockn I will be a broken man....but I will heal. Rdy for 2019!

I am one of those who live 6 plus hours away, and plan to be there. I think they need another true headliner. For me, add Widespread Panic just one night and I would call this a solid lineup. There's a lot for me to look forward to on the current lineup, but I do not think its as strong as years past - I know I wont do the Lumni or early bird purchase again - but hey, my wife and I enjoy music festivals - I am sure we will enjoy 2019 LockN even if the lineup stays as is...

I probably couldnt do Lockn this year anyway but obviously "better headliners" is a personal choice and is an age old debate on the Forum. To me, this is the first year Peach has a better lineup than lockn. Dont care much for TAB so thats a wash on both fests. Warren is someone I want to see again and I love Cheese. Also, Marcus King, GSBG, and Ghost Light are favorites that arent at Lockn. Others I want to see are overlapping both (PPPP, JRAD).I will miss TTB but will be seeing Wheels of Soul so theres that. I will miss the crew and meet up but hope to see some at Peach.

I strongly agree that a night of WSP would make this a much more solid lineup. For me, give WSP Friday night, give TAB and TTB Saturday night to do their sharing-guitarist thing, and boost Bobby's Friday night sets with some new blood (Susan has her fans, but I sure don't need two nights of her headlining--sorry to say). I'd be all over that.
As others have wondered, I'm not sure how four nights of two-set gigs will work. Maybe they'll add more bands in between the sets like last year's UM/Lettuce thing.

I also think something of consequence will get added. Umphrey’s or Jim James with full band would be nice.
