Nerd alert (me). Great Zep song and I love Jimmy Page, but important to know it is another of his big ripoff or lifted songs. He lifted Jansch's version (who showed him how to play it), but this song has very complex history, and all versions go great with a glass of good red wine! A twin bill show with late Yardbirds (Page) or early Zep likely meant you were going to have a song lifted by Page, who would take over writing credits at some point. Dylan lifted When the Levy Breaks on a recent album and I think he did it to prove a point. IIRC he didn't even credit the LZ folks, or traditional, but claimed it himself! I suppose LZ thought they were fireproof in the early 70's from the old guys across the pond but Willie Dixon got a piece of them on You Need Love/Whole Lotta Love.

Thanks for that. Whenever I see Muppets do anything I start thinking about all the hard work that goes into making them as natural-seeming as possible and it just blows my mind.

For me it's been Zappa, Ween, Flaming Lips, They Might Be Giants, and then the whole thing starts over. Clearly I'm trying to remind myself to have a sense of humor about it all.
Also, the universe is a weird and chaotic place. Can't change it; might as well go with the flow.
