Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
At L2 I think she came out and sang with one of the local bands "Rockn to Lockn" winners, who had a female front singer. She (Susan) is one class act. TTB is getting a lot of air play here on our good FM station so I hear her frequently on the drive. I'd love to have Plant again; his two shows years ago were among my favorites. He is commanding steep ticket prices now. The best would be not Plant with UM but instead of UM. Jason B like many of the children don't lure me in. Please note: This forum is in no way officially associated with Lockn' Festival or its promoters.

Top unannounced sit-ins:
• Susan and Derek with Phil - such a beautiful couple songs...and SUSAN shredded. Of course Derek was great, but she was really slaying with guitar in some spots in addition to her always amazing vocals.
• Scott Metzger with White Denim - one of my surprise sets of the festival. Wasn't even planning on seeing them play, but took some advice from folks on this board and was very pleased. Metzger just took them to another level.
• Greg Sanderson with Vulfpeck during Friday's set - they are better with horns. I like Vulfpeck, and I don't mind hearing songs multiple songs (St. Stephens at least three times over Lockn this year?) - but they repeated a lot of songs. Thought Sanderson bailed that second set out a bit.
• Are we really left with Keller with Twiddle at this point, what am I missing? Love Keller and was happy to see him on the main stage.
(Not counting: Gary Clark was announced with Phil, Nicole Atkins sings with JRAD regularly, Antwaun Stanley, etc.)
Biggest misses:
• Really, Trey? You couldn't sit in once with someone!!??!!
I think this was the one thing that could have taken this collection of artists to another level (Festival was excellent as it was, though!). Many of you called that Trey would not collaborate - and you were on. He was great during the Phish shows, so all is forgiven.
• Loved the Galactic set, Erica Falls was unbelievable. Lee Oskar simply didn't do a lot for the set from my perspective. We were close and he looked kind of uncomfortable and maybe a bit unsure of what was going on up there at times.
He ripped a couple solos, but overall Galactic was great as Galactic versus the collaboration adding much.
Maybe most importantly...the scheduled collaborations were all excellent in my mind! I though both Phil sets were high quality, the morning Keller sets were phenomenal, and Circles Around The Sun was ridiculous. Not a collaboration at this point since they have put out an album of originals, but Hard Working Americans really helped amp Saturday into the amazing day of music it was.

And no Trey was a HUGE missed opportunity. Panties are still in a bit of a twist over that.
