From a VIP(rv) point of view...

I agree the porta situation was awesome and the VIP bathrooms were always clean as well. Early Wed. entry was great for us and greatly helped the overall loading situation, just like we said that it would.

Yes this year was the farthest away that we were parked from venue but in all fairness we were the closest of all 30 amp VIP RVs and the walk was a flat 150 yards.

Definitely need to cut the grass, even inside of the venue it was way too tall. 

Upfront VIP area change was great for the GA which I am glad for but it was far from optimal for us. I don't get the wedge shape and why that is so important. This area could be reconfigured to give the VIP a better area without infringing on the GA. Getting in and out was much better with the side entrance. Plus the VIP area is right in front of one of the speaker stacks so it was quite loud.

The viewing area next to the VIP tent was nice but would have been better if it was shaded. Hell this whole thing should be right up next to the stage.

There was no signage at all designating the bearer waiting/loading zone and I had not one shoulder ride all night, quite disappointed in that. 

I also had an amazing time and was looking to purchase tickets on the way out. 

arrived at 7:30am thursday to be placed in a spot that i was not expecting. from the map i thought i'd be on the side, where i'd been at L2. I was p.o.'d, just ask the dude Trey who was parking us. so, i'm lakefront on the fenceline staring right at svip/stage and can see the right screen. it wasn't just me. the other rv's being parked there were also expecting to be put closer. had to go look at what was around the corner, saw the shower/bathroom trailers, realized it was just a few minutes walk and calmed down. i loved our spot even more when i walked back to the rv while a band was playing. as i rounded the bend to my unit, the sound got much, much louder. really did carry over the pond. were also steps from BRB and could hear that just fine at night. by friday my group was unanimous in belief that we had the best spot at lockn.

the power outage was unfortunate. cost me about a dollar in gas to run the gennie for twelve hours. but, did have a beautiful girl (was there any other kind?) deliver fresh donuts and an apology the next morning. yummy. donuts were good, too.

i do agree that some swag would be appropriate. two bucks worth of trinkets just to make me feel great upon entry. coffee table book months later instead? ok, whatever you decide. that's not the product i'm paying for anyway.

speaking of upon entry, the thurs am entry was a botch. if you are responsible and reading this (don't worry folks, this all will go to CID and lockn), you scored the only sub A+ grade at lockn, congrats on your failure. nuff about that.

perfectly happy w the viewing area, hospitality tent. agree that a couple more of those big umbrellas at the sitting area would've been nice, but i never hung out there.

there were folding chairs in the viewing area and during the day they were always available and with a clear view. i wouldn't expect a seat with a view at night. was easy to get and maintain the spot i wanted all four days.

so many other little things cid did to enhance. good job to them. good job to lockn. best fest ever, as usual. i'll be back and am hooked on vip rv for this fest.
