Yes to an extent. A few new ones and unfamiliar ones are always fun to get into and find new favorites.

Like knowing due to the fact that it is quite the expense, airline plus car rental. So really need to know who is playing

I prefer knowing ahead of time. Knowing who's playing does help build the excitement and plan things out with friends.

The wife and I knew we were coming and bought 'Lumni tickets this year. So for the first time we were unconcerned about the line-up and just anticipated a kicking announcement.

I have to say I don't really care. The variety guarantees that there will be something I like on the menu. Typically, I buy my tickets before seeing a lineup for festivals I attend...

It's nice to know ahead of time, but I go to festivals I can trust to put on a good show, like Lockn, so I buy early bird tickets.
