Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
I've only seen them at Lockn' but they "play well with others" and are a solid group of musicians. I think whatever they do, stand-alone or collaboration, will be outstanding. I don't know the Chambers yet. Run "Moonalice" as a "radio" on Pandora; they put together a good mix off of the band (although oddly Alexa was not able to set it up one time I tried). Please note: This forum is in no way officially associated with Lockn' Festival or its promoters.

I have never seen Moonalice, but like their "minor super group or collaboration" concept. My friends and I were big fans of both the Airplane and the Starship in the mid to late 70s. I knew well of Pete Sears. I heard him recently on the GD Sirius channel and it was a great interview. I was wanting to see them somewhere, sometime.
What interesting facts do folks have for this August slot? The Chambers brothers are all around 80 years old, +/-. Lester Chambers has a few gigs listed on his website with Moonalice. He has a few song samples on his wbesite, fyi. But the billing for Lockn says, "Chambers Brothers" so this appears to be a larger reunion for them?? Dylan Chambers is a second generation musician who likely will be involved?
Looking forward to it, and hope they can do something really cool like Foundations of Funk ended up being. As we all grow older, this type of collaboration set is a good model and has great potential.

The time I saw them at Lockn a few years ago, having no idea of what I was going to see and being completely enamored, and in the day time, is what sold me on the whole Lockn's vibe, and why since them I haven't been focused on the last bands of the night, but the earlier shows.

I don't get how people are calling PPP, SCI, Greensky, and WSP gods of the universe and reason to go Peach and not Lockn. I support those bands, they are talented, but I am far from calling them rock gods. Cannot WAIT to see the Moonalice and Chambers set at Lockn. Not affiliated, but am I a Lockn fanboy now? Maybe...
yeah, I did just have two glasses of red wine.
