Thanks all. I generally don't make a big deal about my birthday, but I do make some exceptions. I took today off from work. Probably just as much for the 5-day weekend as for turning 60.

But 60 is just a number and I'm a chemist so numbers don't scare me.

I value the friendships we've made here more than words can express (I'm a chemist so words can scare me).

Hearkening back to the halcyon days of high school and college, lots of Southern rock and country of that era, pig pickin' bluegrass, yard parties and jams.
