I love that song so much, I literally had to pause my original 'i should be fkn packing for rooster' just to say how much I love that song....I mean, it tends to go on just a little too long but I digress.

It’s seasonal, but Robert Earl Keene’s Merry Christmas.... gets it spot on too. Not so much rednecky, but when I am driving through bucolic Southern settings, I always listen to Everything All The Time by Band of Horses. The First Song includes an Ocracoke name drop, which is hard to find.
