I really liked Big Head Todd & the Monsters (which got left off the published setlist I had seen on FB), Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, TTB, Widespread Panic, TAB and Robert Plant. Foreigner was surprisingly fun, and arguably the most "mainstream" of all the bands featured. I went to bed around midnight, as Bob Weir's set (with him wearing capris, LOL) was starting.
It seemed like Shapiro was trying to make it up to Phil Lesh for Lockn' not happening this year. Most of the performances were pretty short, but there were 2 long Phil & Friends sets. Well, the first set was long, I don't know how long the second set was, since I didn't stay up that late. I mean nothing against Phil of course, and I understand how important he is to the Cap, but I would have liked to see maybe some other artists in the line-up (such as Twiddle, for one), or longer sets from some of the other bands (TAB only got 2 songs, for example, which surprised me). And I love JRAD, but I wouldn't have complained if their set was shorter also. Maybe cut 15 minutes off JRAD, give it to TAB.
Overall, it was not a bad way to spend a rainy Saturday, and it definitely made me want to go see a show at the Cap once all this mess over with!
