How are the acoustic performances going to work?

I think Warren will play his set Thursday afternoon before his Warren Haynes Band set, and Furthur will do the same time Friday afternoon. Just a gut feeling.

Where is everyone hearing about the camp bonfires?

I love that we are all worked up over this stuff. Lets me know the crowd is going to be awesome!

A friend of a friend knows a couple band managers who said that some guys have been contracted to play late night campfires and VIP tents. They trust their friends and I trust mine and I'm pretty confident on this one.

I really think this came out of two things: Phil Lesh does this at Terrapin Crossroads as a way of playing right up until noise curfew, then doing an encore around the firepit out back. Everyone loves it. Really special times with Phil and friends playing acoustic by the fire, everyone singing along respectfully.

Peter Shapiro and Phil go way back and given the noise curfew in Nelson county and Shapiro/Frey wanting to come back next year, they're looking for ways to make this special for us and amenable to the residents of the county.

I can't remember where now, but I know someone from Lockn mentioned official campfires at some point. So all this together = late night campfires with 10,000 of your closest friends singing along with some really cool people

I have a media pass to the festival and will be shooting pictures/video all weekend. Catching something like this on video would be sweeeeet!

I once saw Chris Thile of Punch Brothers busking in the Tent Only area at Bonnaroo. They would make for a nice bonfire set.
