Canned Craft Beer Exchange!

I am going to try and see what I can pick up local in Atlanta but not sure what's in cans. Is there anything special around here you can't get up around your areas?

Saw an article about something called Red Hare. Cans, Georgia.

Wish I could do cans...I'd bring some home craft brew.

I dunno why people are afraid of conditioning in growlers. It's always worked for me.

They, along with Sierra Nevada, were among the first to start doing it (again). Love 'em or hate' em, the scene might not be here without them.

Sometimes I make soda too. Most brewer's suppliers have plastic soda bottles and caps. I can't see any reason why one couldn't condition in them. For aesthetics even more than environmental purposes I wouldn't recommend it for every day, but for a one off...

I'm pretty sure you can even get brown ones, since light would definitely be an issue with clear.

Interesting thought.  Worth a try.

There is also a brewery in Nellysford--across the street from Lockn--with cans, but i fuigure they will be there.
Devils Backbone is the big one; they have striped bass IPA in cans but it's seasonal and gone from stores here.

If I can, I'll get some cans from Smartmouth's brewery in Norfolk
