Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
not a fan of chocolate orgasms. That would just be strange. Vanilla on the other hand.....LIKE good name for a band though Please note: This forum is in no way officially associated with Lockn' Festival or its promoters.
Kreutzmann, Lettuce added

I predict Bill's "allstars" will be known otherwise as 7 walkers. Which never did a thing for me.
OK, sorry for the whine. Still will be a great festival I'm sure...

If I could add one artist to the 2023 lineup: Leftover Salmon - they are not booked on those dates!

Lockn just sent an email saying they will announce who is playing with Kreutzmann over the next few days.

I agree completely. Who knows.... Maybe this Allstars thing will be amazing. Doubtful, but maybe. Still, Saturday and Sunday makes this fest worth the time and the cash.
Damn it Bob.

How can you "strongly dislike" instrumental funk? What about bacon? Or chocolate? Or orgasms? Sheesh!

I'd rather have quality Dead music (DSO or Furthur w/out BW) than an original Dead guy noodling away at his own new stuff. So I
hope BK simply goes the safe cover route. I'm there for a comfortable and familiar jam, not to be challenged. Old dog, new tricks you know.
I will keep an open mind and look forward to it, and not whine any FURTHER about who's not playing. But keeping an eye on Gregg.
The Dead Feat thing sounds very interesting though if they go that route.
Don't care about the Lettuce add since I won't be there Thursday and the previous line-up wasn't going to bring me in (except Taj).
I wasn't coming for Ratbob in the first place. Now I'm glad I wasn't planning on it.
Maybe Phil will stretch his time out. Got to keep in mind that two sets would have been a lot for the old guy anyway, new liver and all.

called and sent off to any job site. They have pretty thorough contracts governing where and when they play and circumstances when they
either can't play or must pay--or pay huge $$. And just because their tour schedule is open doesn't mean they're all sitting around,
bags packed, waiting to be deployed like the Navy Seals.
They also need to rehearse together. it's not two college guys in a bar playing Eagles on accoustic guitars. All those apparently
loose jams and improvisations are incredibly structured, if you know anything about music theory. it's almost like classical music.
I think it's as much fun as the next guy to shuffle them around like fantasy football; I'm not saying that. it fits the Lockn theme.
And we can always hope for surprise sit-ins.
But it's wrong to get angry with the promoters because they didn't do what, to the uninformed, is "so f obvious." The
business doesn't work that way; the audience seldom sees behind that curtain.
