In a perfect world, Neil walks on stage as soon as Furthur finishes their set on Saturday and just does an hour or so solo.

In general, I feel like there's a lot of information that still hasn't been communicated to us. I have a lot of questions.

Here are some things we do know:
- We've been promised two hour sets: "Interlocken's two main stages will feature full two-hour sets that will run seamlessly from one to the other without breaks between performances."
- On Thursday, the performance area will open at 2:00 pm.
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the performance area will open at 11:00 am.
- Recently added to the website: On Thursday, the music will start at 4:00 pm.
- On Sunday, the music will end at 11:00 pm.
Here's what Thursday would look like if everyone was slated for two-hours:
4:00 - 6:00 >>>> Keller and the Keels
6:00 - 8:00 >>>> Warren Haynes Band
8:00 - 10:00 >>> SCI
10:00 - 12:00 >> Gov't Mule
12:00 - 2:00 >>> SCI
I will actually be surprised if they keep the main stage going until 2am on a Thursday. But even if KW and Warren are relegated to 90 minutes, we're still looking at a 1:00 am finish, which I'm okay with.
I think it is safe to assume that not every act will have a two-hour set. For example, look at Friday: there are 8 performances slated for that day, which would total 16 hours. If the music started at noon, Furthur's second set would be scheduled for 2:00 am to 4:00 am. I don't see that happening, although I would love to be wrong.
Sunday's lineup would also suggest that not everyone will get a two-hour set. There are six acts scheduled; if music ends at 11pm, it would have to start at 11am, at which point the venue will have just opened.
To confuse things further, according to the Jeff Sipe Trio website, they will be performing at midnight; however, Jeff Sipe Trio are not on the actual schedule. Instead, they are simply listed among the "Very Special Guests" (along with Grace Potter, Jorma Kaukonen, and Indecision). Perhaps they're playing somewhere other than the main stage?
I'm sure they'll announce something soon, but until then let's make wild speculations!

Due to the gate time, we might have to do it on Friday, rather than Thursday.

I am not exaggerating when I say that when Breaking Bad concludes, it could prove to be the greatest television show in history (supplanting The Wire).

Seriously, though, I would be pissed if I were going SVIP. You cannot put a price on four days of an open bar at a music festival

@swvapanic sent out the following Tweets earlier today:
"If any of my followers did the super VIP at Lockn festival......you just lost your open bar....."
(In response to someone asking what happened)
"[they] dropped open bar for super VIP'ers and looks like they didn't fully research Virginia liquor laws in my opinion"
I've already inquired as to his source (answer pending). I'm calling it a rumor until we see something official, but I see no reason why a guy would make this up. Bummer for the gentry.
Edit: I initially labeled this a rumor, but it is indeed fact.

If I'm understanding the venue area correctly, the stages will actually face away from the camping areas, so don't count on being able to hear any of the music from your campsite.
That bad-ass tree looks like it is next to RV camping; car campers will pass it on their way to the venue.
No indications yet as to where Sober camping will be.

I'm not a huge Zac Brown fan (in fact, I wouldn't even call myself a casual Zac Brown fan). But I respect his musicianship and his attitude - the man likes to jam. I'm really interested to see what this Incident sounds like. One up to the promoters for landing a one-off like this.

In the spirit of festival culture, we will do our best to limit the amount of rules and restrictions placed on this forum. You should be generally capable of policing yourselves. We simply ask that you follow basic message board etiquette - please make sure that you create threads in the appropriate subforum, try to avoid creating redundant threads, and do not post links to anything illegal.
There is one basic tenet of this forum:
Behave here the way you would at the actual festival. The members of this board are your friends, neighbors, and colleagues - treat them that way.
Actually, make that two tenets of this forum:
Don't use this forum to try to sell your extra tickets.
"For Sale" threads will be deleted without notice. Members are welcome to use the In Search Of subforum (lockn.proboards.com/board/15/search-iso) if they are looking for ticket packages or camping passes that are already sold out. See: lockn.proboards.com/thread/722/rules-read-before-posting-subforum for additional details on the ISO subforum rules.
Otherwise, have fun, participate, and encourage discussion - Lockn' is only in its second year and we all have lots of questions! Hopefully, together, we can find the answers.
Your feedback is welcome - please use this sub-forum for all of your suggestions and requests: lockn.proboards.com/board/3/feedback-suggestions-etc
This forum nor its administrators condone the sale or use of illegal substances.
No politics, that belongs on your Facebook page. That is all. - The Other One

considering how much further away car camping 2 appears to be than car camping 1, i'll be sure to get there extra early and get a decent spot. it sure looks like there is a lot of wasted space just north of the preferred tent only parking.
Do you think it is safe to assume the they will fill #1 first? Logistically it might make more sense to start filling from the back of area #2 first, although hopefully this isn't the case.

RV parking is adjacent to TO.
There are two areas for car camping - you definitely want to be in the first of the two; although if you are camped in the back of either one, you're going to have a bit of a hike.
Forest Camping in nestled in behind TO.
Family Camping is in front of car camping area #2.
There are shuttle stops at the front of tent only, in front of car camping area #1, in front a family camping, and in the very back of car camping area #2. Are we to assume these shuttles are free? If so, that's amazing.
