Nah, all the credit goes to Slypknot. It has been a welcome thread for sure.

If I had room I definitely would but I'm usually pretty packed full. Hope you do make it, it's a great little festival.

Eh, for 300 bucks or so you could go GA, parking pass and camp with friends in premium. Looks like there could be a compound in the works. Doesn't sound bad for 4 days of music at a great venue.
I still do not regret my vip ticket, know it will be worth it. I dig a bunch of the bands

PS Bonus points unlocked for quoting myself. Triple points for liking my double quoted post
Now, I'm not the best at mathin' but that sounds like we're going to see Hondo at roosterwalk?! That is great news, I think you will love it. The premium spots are very premium indeed.
Any questions, just ask away.

Would that be the new 'VIP Tent Camping area' or the new 'Premium Near Car Campground'.
That would be the premium camping. Looks like it sold out already, I'll be in the vip woods.
Got my ticket, Amber has to make sure it doesn't conflict with a family trip to Europe before committing.

Looks like a solid first announcement to me. You know I'll be there, premium camping or not TBD

When they did come out for an encore they did one mic, at the lip of the stage. Welcomed their opener Phoebe Hunt to the stage for the final tune. I love dual fiddles and they shredded through big back yard for the final tune.
Don't miss this act if you get a chance. Hope they keep on this path for a long while.

They were planning 45,000 but the sheriff estimated 60,000. Those numbers make a this Locknfanboy envious. Well, they say no one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public.

HALIFAX, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia Department of Health and the Southside Health District are investigating complaints of illness following the Blue Ridge Rock Festival earlier this month.
According to the Southside Health District, groups who attended the event have complained of being infected with a gastrointestinal illness. In order to investigate, they are asking all festival guests to fill out a survey asking about their experience during and after the event.
There are quite a few videos on YouTube from different folks telling their experiences. Estimated 200 stagehands and staff walked off. Was a shit show for sure....
Makes you realize how good we have it at most festivals we frequent.

There was no vip specific camping, so anyone could come and go to each other's camps. That's a nice change. The new vip stage was also visible from the now open, premium rv camping. So some folks lined up along the border and watched from a distance for the dust covers set. And a couple of pedal boats on the lake, gotta love that commitment.
The music was stellar all around. Really liked the sweet lilies. Loved Wilson springs hotel, like them more every time. Kendall Street is always a fun entertaining show. They even were heard talking about some sort of cheese crackers.... that was very cool.
Seeing 49 Winchester on pops farm was something I've been wanting since I started listening to them. Stellar, pretty straightforward set. Glad some more forum fam got to see them for the first time. I like what wharf said about them, "when you Google country that doesn't suck these guys should be first result". Couldn't agree more bud.
Dusters killed it as always. Phenomenal musicians, great lights and sound. Awesome covers, what's not to love.
I think they did really well for the first one. Sold out of a lot of merch and beer so that's gotta be a good sign. Already said they were talking about next year. See ya there!

Had a couple shutdowns for lightning but they kept the indoor stages going. Rain was pretty minimal thankfully.
Highlights were Daniel Donato, Nickelcreek, Holy roller, the well drinkers, and of course 49 Winchester.
49 hosted a "super set" to close out the festival and welcomed a bunch of guests starting with Sierra Hull on the first few tunes, didn't see that one coming. I was hoping they would bring Daniel Donato out and sure enough, it happened! He sat in for a few tunes as well. So damn cool. Also had Jim Lauderdale join them for a handful of songs including pirate looks at 40 in memory of Jimmy Buffett, very touching moment. Closed it out with tons of folks on stage for will the circle be unbroken and I'll fly away. An amazing, very memorable show I won't forget.

Thankful for the festival and the friends we made along the way. Hopefully we can all reunite on the farm one day.
