 Oh dude sounds like you had a bad Farm Aid. You said Neil was not at his best also. I feel bad I talked up about Farm Aid. The three I've been to have all been great.  Also Joanne is a big Mellencamp fan, so I've seen him multi times & most have been good but have seen some so so shows. I hope someday you can see him at his best.

Grateful Gospel is back, this year and I would imagine that means so it grateful grass..I Like that, so far its basically a rerun of last year..

The author of Aces Back to Back (look it up on Google) is connected to Relix, which, as you know, is owned by Peter Shapiro, producer of Lockn. 
We've been hearing these rumors on West Coast via Dead family connections for awhile now, so it will be interesting to see if it comes true.

I am so happy I get another shot at seeing Grateful Gospel. I screwed up last year and missed it. It's just a short walk from RV.

Agreed. Wide Spread Winwood was so good because you had an older guy supported by a solid band (I say "supported" respectfully b/c
WSP is way mor than a back-up band--like the Band was for Dylan).

I'd like to see the same formula--bring out a viable icon of the sixties/seventies, but he has to still have talent and ability (unlike
Willie last year) and let them roll. Mellenhead is too young and too full of himself, as well as not being very interesting musically.

I happened to be standing around the buses during the evacuation last year and listened in to WSP and Petty's guys planning the compacted
performance. I got the impression that originally Winwwod was not going to play the full WSP slot but when it got shortened, they put him
on the whole time. And I thoght that worked out well, especially since WSP had its own gig the next night.

How about Robbie Krieger with WSP? Dave Mason? Joe Cocker? Alvin Lee? (Although with Herring being so good, maybe not a guitar god.)
Ray Davies? Leon Russell could have been cool but he is really flat and boring these days. And I concur about Robertson as long
as he sticks with Band tunes the way Winwood didn't play his "adult contemporary" crap last year.
