I don't know the year for Clueless but looks like someone stole the line from someone--although Wolfe, as a journalist, researches his work very well, and in Charlotte Simmons, published in 2004, had "researchers" at colleges picking up slang terms. The book seems to me based on Duke, where his daughter was (he denies it), but was researched at Michigan and one of the big Florida schools. But the opening scene really harkened back to his, and my, alma mater, W&L, too, and the name of the fictional college, DuPont, is named after one of W&L's classroom buildings.

Dear Jerry tickets procured! Lawn seats. Seats from which you can't see anything seem to be a recurring theme for us this year. But we'll be there...that's all that really matters!

I was thinking this Dear Jerry thing might be the route they go for the majority of the 50th anniversary year. The reason being, let's say Bob has another incident… There's so many other performers it almost ensures that the show would still go on because they're not billing themselves as the Dead but as a collective Dear Jerry

Hard to believe that Greensky Bluegrass got cut so no Eyes played & Railroad Earth didn't get to do Terrapin. Also Panic had to cut Ramble On Rose

Soon as I can.  Unfortunately this concert fell in the middle of a rough work period for me.  I somehow managed to pull off travel and concert using only 9 hours of time off work... and I'll be making up for that this weekend for sure.

Totally worth it!
