Phil w/ Chris Robinson, Neil Casal, Eric Krasno, Tony Leone, and Adam McDougall. Not sure i spelled all that right.
that is the lineup for one of the two appearances. I'd anticipate tomorrow's annoucement to be the other night?
Anyway, Eric and Chris are both great to me!

I'm actually pretty happy about this combo. I'm not normally a Phil fan, but adding in Chris Robinson makes it much more appealing for me.

Chris Robinson singing definitely takes care of what is often the weakest part of P&F lineups.

Meh. Glad Robinson is gonna be there in some capacity, but announcing the "friends" isn't really an announcement at all. This may be as good as it gets, folks.

Ya the first three songs so far bode pretty well. And I am glad there is some recent familiarity in the lineup.

I look at it like this. This is just announcing another complete band (almost) without taking up another time slot! CRB probably is announced with their own slot later in the program.
Hope it's on the main stage. I'd like to see 'em this time.

Well this pretty much guarentees CRB in some time slot as well...The other Phil & Friends lineup will most likely be with Anders Osbourne and Luther Dickenson. (sp?) as they have played together multiple times at the cap and TXR.

Exactly, and in it are two other announcements I think...one being CRB, the other being phil with Luther and Anders of the north mississippi all stars...
its no announcement which basically contains a possible announcement and one other No-announcement of phils other friends....if that makes any sense

I like this. Chris & friends will spice Phil up. We should still have a least 2 more announcements this week & more if they add Saturday & Sunday. I wasn't expecting anything big this week so I hope they surprise me.

Wondering if there will be a live announcement at BRB on Saturday. I think they teased this at one point.

I've been thinking this as well. That was actually when I was expecting the next announcements to begin, so this earlier start is great IMO.Wondering if there will be a live announcement at BRB on Saturday. I think they teased this at one point.

I think that would be a good stage to announce whatever form the big dead headliner will take.

I do not consider it as an announcement. It's info. I am beginning to think they have no clue who's going to be there. I will be there regardless however, the waiting is still a bitch

This isn't B'roo. There aren't 200 bands playing. How many open spots do you think are left? They can barely announce a letter a day much less a band a day MUCH LESS A HEADLINER A DAY FOR 147 DAYS. Come on. Think about this some and quit being so negative.
This is great news and it is big news. It is headliner news. Before today you knew what about who Phil was playing with? NOT DICK. Now you do. Who are you excited to see on the lineup? Me? I'm excited to see Phil. Phil and who? Oh yeah that's right I know now. Phil and Chris Robinson, Neil Casal, Eric Krasno, Tony Leone, and Adam McDougall one night. SWEET! I can't wait to find out who he is playing with the other night.

I've made the reasons for my crankiness clear in the past. Anyone needs a refresher course, I'll be happy to provide a link. Also said before that I'm satisfied with the lineup as is. That's still true.
Lockn made it sound like they were announcing a band when they were announcing (essentially) a back-up band. I think that's a little unscrupulous. I've never liked the dribble to begin with, so it grates on my nerves like fingernails on chalk.

Not my favorite way of announcing either but that is what they are doing so I guess I have to live with it. That being said, when would it have been an appropriate time in the future to make this announcement?
