AGE Demographic

Took in three fests this season. Clearwater (downstate NY) is held on Father's day every year. I'd say 80 to 90 percent of attendees had families with them, ranging from kids to teens. What a blast. Two nights of Tuna, Antibalas, Red Baarat, and of course Pete Seeger (and more) a wide range of music and ages.

Gathering of the Vibes had fewer pre-teens and under, but there were plenty and there was a sizeable teen component. One of the stages was dedicated to School of Rock and similar. Headlined by Phil n' Friends, with Galactic, Tedechi Trucks, Ms. Potter et al, and the like.

We helped add to the next generation by bringing our four-year-old.

Then there's Interlocken. If the age thing is skewed here it's really our fault---this is the one we're leaving the little man at home for, so the Aural Gods smiled and whispered the average age upwards.

Well, I'm fifty mumble.

But I still feel like I'm 28 and a half! 

Yeah I just turned 23 as well. It will be great though. Im excited to party will all these (how do i say this) experienced festival goers. But never fear guys, there is no fraternity hat on this guy. I have trouble putting on hats with all my dreadlocks lol. I was actually hoping this is how it would turn out. I have the same thoughts when were talking about my g-g-g-g-generetion. I could do with out lol.

21 here. I'm a super bro. Me and all the Sigma Nu bros will be raging it hard all weekend with all the Natty Light we can handle and then some more. We all just stocked up on some fresh new Guy Harvey shirts and brand new croakies. We'll be the ones bumping into all you old fucks as we rudely push our way to the front. Because lets face it, we deserve to be there more than everyone else. Can't wait to high five all of my brothers during Tall Boy and Havin a Good time.

Hehehe. Have fun, broseph. All the more Natty for you guys I suppose.

Some of the young folks are purty darn cool. I reserve judgement until I've hung out with 'em.

In that case, the wife and I average 43 1/2.

Oh she's older than me, but she's drop-dead gorgeous, so I definitely got the long end of that stick.

Where my 45-54 peeps at ?

40 year old music lover here. This is THE best line-up I've ever seen on paper, even with the HUGE blow of no CRAZY HORSE.  This is a blessing for those of us who prioritize the music.  I'm obviously looking fwd to the bands, but it will be nice to be around like-minded souls. Thanks for NOT booking any BULLSHIT!
