Says they are expecting 25,000. I think it would be double that.

SUMMIT POINT, W.Va.
The All Good Music Festival wrapped up Sunday with no reports of property damage or violent crimes, but drugs were a different matter all together.
West Virginia State Police Captain Eric Widmeyer spoke to The Herald Mail Monday.
He said that in the area of the festival grounds the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crime Task Force arrested 31 people, charged them with 86 felony counts of drug distribution and seized more than $49,000 worth of illegal drugs during the three-day event.
He said troopers patrolling the roads in Jefferson County were busy as well, making 46 misdemeanor arrests for illegal drug possession and nine felony arrests for drug sales.
The death of James Snyder,26, from an apparent drug overdose stands out as the most serious incident.
Widmeyer said he would like to have many more uniformed troopers on hand should the festival return.
In a report to the Jefferson County Commission Monday, Widmeyer said state police had a $74,520 contract directly with festival promoter Walther Productions to cover the agency’s additional costs of providing police services, and used $64,845 of that amount.
Authorities estimate turnout for the festival peaked Saturday, with an estimated 15,000 on hand.
****************************************************************************************
But what do the numbers say?
31 (in the fest) + 46 (misdemeanors) + 9 (felonies) = 86 total
Attendence = 15,000
So 86/15,000 busted or 0.6% of the population got popped.
But that is the total busts over the 3 (actually 4 or 5) days. So let's say 15,000 opportunities one day and 10,000 on each of the other 2 days for a total of 35,000 Bust days.
So that is 86/35,000 or 0.25% of the 3 day population got popped.
****************************************************************************************
So that sucks. And I am not condoning it at all. And it sounds like the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crime Task Force want to get MORE MONEY to do an even more fascist job. But 0.25% not 2.5% and certainly not 25% getting taken down is not really unrealistic numbers. Unless of course you are on the losing end of that 0.25%.
****************************************************************************************
This is all just for mathematical curiosity and perspective.
What happens if I take both?

Not to contradict McJeff's perspective, but there were apparently quite a lot of harassment anecdotally. Searching people without reasonable suspicion, pulling over random motorists. Quite a large presence in the campgrounds. I saw a lot of complaints on Facebook. Of course Anecdotes are not data, but I will not be soliciting Not So All Good unless there are significant changes in the atmosphere (and a better lineup).
I realize that there has to be some police presence at such a large public gathering, but I am hoping the atmosphere is relaxed at Lockn this year.

Edit: probably a bit less because cops ALWAYS over charge for their shit.

I will not be going to All Good again either. It's a shame because it was a way cool fest once upon a time.
Having said that, I actually know people that went and had a blast.

Not to go off on a rant here (Dennis Miller) ..but it's completely illegal for cops to pull you over or search your person without reasonable cause. I'm no lawyer, and I respect law enforcement when they are actually working for the public good, BUT, the potential for festival goers to be harassed by cops SHOULD be directly proportional to the behavior they are exhibiting. I say should, b/c although that's not always the case, it is 100% correct to say if you are minding your own business and not bothering anyone or showing signs of being stupid drunk/aggressive, law officers CAN NOT give you a hard time.
It's like a wasp's nest: yeah I don't like seeing it there and I don't like the noises it makes, but I'm also not going to poke it with a stick so I'll be left alone.
Set your cruise control, don't have smoke bellowing out of your car a la' Cheech & Chong, make sure your registration/inspection is up to snuff, headlights work, don't be a stupid aggressive driver, and enjoy the ride to Lockn safe in the knowledge you won't be bothered.
Don't go up to strangers asking them if they want to buy drugs, don't give anyone a hard time, don't be obvious with drugs out in the open, DO be respectful to everyone, let asshats go their merry way without drawing attention to yourself and relax knowing you'll have a great time without law enforcement bearing down on you.
We have rights, we can still be respectful to law enforcement, and we can all get along.
