I thought this was a great set, one of the highlights of the weekend. they cut off the planned Box of Rain encore, though.

Much of this was new to me (as happens every Lockn). JA was inspiring. MD&E is something I will never forget. Warren coming in at the end was amazing. Robert Plant was INCREDIBLE Sunday night. I hope you guys powered through the cold because they gave an amazing show. It cleared out a lot, but the music warmed my bones. I'm so glad i stayed strong. Going to California... that song shares a special place in the heart of myself and the person that has touched my life in the most significant of ways. It was one of the most moving things I have ever felt. One of those songs I never dreamed I'd hear from the source. That moment in my life is something I will remember for as long as I walk this earth.
We're all here because we're not all there

Late-night Umph
SCI
and Panic Sunday was one of the best Panic sets I've seen. I was on the GA rail and it was bonkers.
And I'll add that Mickey, EOTO, and the dude with the crazy art guitar was also awesome in a totally different kind of way.
And I forgot Steve Earle. He's one of the only artists who bridges the gap between me and my strictly country music listening friends, and I was really excited for that set which definitely delivered.
It was all awesome though.

Since I'm already gushing about Widespread, I'll add this little story because I thought it was funny. We were having lunch with a couple on Sunday (I think? Maybe Saturday) and we were talking about who we were looking forward to seeing, blah blah blah and I brought up WSP & the guy said "you know, I really like their music. I think they are good, but I cannot understand a word that guy is saying. He needs diction lessons or something". I love John Bell sooooooo much & love his voice, etc., I told the guy to stand with us that night & I'd interpret for him. HA!
And how about JB's Delta Lady? Holy moly, that was awesome!

MD&E set
Billy & the Kids w/ Bob
Plant - yes, Plant
NMA doing Jessica? Yes.
Phil, Warren, Carlos. Carlos seemed to be struggling to find his place. Odd, but great.
Wow, so much great music. TTB Midnight in Harlem and Derek's solo brought me to tears.
Thanks, all.
