Going to see them in October forvthe first time. we make sure to check out the bands coming through town. Didn't take us long to decide we weren't missing that one.

Watched Wilco on Austin City Limits rerun on MTV live. A good show (except the guy on the left adding electronica noises). I find the bands at the Austin City Limits show to play more calm and subdued sets; I first noticed this with Drive By Truckers.

Plus being inside, no risk of rainbows.

Then watched a live concert by Trampled by Turtles, possibly in NYC. Those guys really wail!

Bob Weir's new album, Blue Mountain is not out but there are three songs on Apple music.

I really like them, Bobs voice is much better than I expected, two songs at least are even catchy.

Makes me wish I had bought tickets to see him at the Ryman, about a three hour drive for me, but it's sold out.

Heard the live version of Friend of the Devil with Grace Potter and Bob Weir on the radio; I think it's on the Jerry Garcia tribute album. But frankly, much as I love FOTD, Grace and Bob, separately, and new versions of old songs, it wasn't all that appealing to me.
