It's funny, I don't ever listen to Black Crowes studio albums, but I'm often captivated by live performances of their music either by them or someone else. I have a vague memory of posting this before, but god damn does this go hard

I have a tendency to get hooked on listening to people’s lists or artist’s discography. I swore I was not going to do that again….and yet, I find myself on 1962 already (list of albums from 1960 to present).
I do enjoy early 60s jazz (whether instrumental or vocal) as a background music when working. And I didn’t know The Fabulous Wailers (my brain keep reading The Wailers). I enjoy surf rock, but I’m having a difficult grammatical time with the phrase I like Dick Dale.

Speaking of Surf, check out the late Danny Gatton--sadly forgotten but he was known by all real guitarists as the top. He developed the tape loop in his guitar. I got to see him in a bar just before he killed himself--and he autographed his cassette for me.

Finished the random 1964 albums. Herbie Hancock is really good, the Nina and Odetta albums had good tracks but as a whole the albums seemed to lack a little something.
Next up is the good old birth year 1965

Mine was the '65 with the 260 V8. My friend had dropped a 302 in this one so it was a true "sleeper:. That car would "shit and git" as we used to say 
. Remind me on the next zoom and I'll tell you about the time I eluded the police in a high speed getaway Smokey and The Bandit style (seriously).

Completed 1965 from some random persons album list. Mostly good stuff, I was not familiar with Jackson C Frank (folk) or Astrud Gilberto (French vocalist) and both were good listens (I really enjoy Astrud)

Mine had the luxury interior--factory air and 8_track, console (into which I installed my CB) and blinkers in the hood. My seller bought it new from his brother a car dealer in Lynchburg. I got it for $250--about 3 tanks of gas today!
And speaking of green 'stangs this verse from Isbell's Outfit always grabs me:

A 302 Mach One in green
Till me and your mama made you in the back
And I sold it to buy her a ring
So I guess I got lucky in that regard--if you can call not getting lucky, lucky!

Kinda Finished 1966 list of top albums from some random person. Didn’t know the Monks and vaguely familiar with Love (insert joke here). Monks were early punk (for lack of a better description) and meh. For the record, I’ve never been able to listen to a complete Zappa album and that trend continues
