Got my Jimmy Herring fix in. With a little bit of sadness I had to give away my MEETING OF THE SPIRITS tics. They went to my eldest so I know they'll be loved and appreciated.
I double booked. Two shows on the same night and it's not even the first time. This getting old thing has a definite downside.

It's tough being at work after the holiday yesterday. Started the day off gentle with some coffee and Horowitz Plays Scriabin by Vladimir Horowitz. Now it's Billy Strings' Main Stage set from Delfest. The combination of fast acoustic pickin' and caffeine is waking me up enough to where I might actually be productive today. Up next I have some Beats Antique and TAUK lined up. Need some good instrumental music with a driving beat to get me through some carrier-to-carrier conversions.

I watched Joe Cocker Mad Dog with Soul on Netflix last night. What an amazing voice Joe had! He really put everything into it when he sang. Wish I could have seen him live.

Have been getting into these guys a lot lately and checking out older albums after liking the new one. This is a good cut off of "In the Mountain In the Cloud" which is probably my 2nd favorite to Satanic Satanist.

The Wood Brothers. They had a killer set opening for TTB at SPAC on Monday, and now I long to hear more of them. Though I do believe they are better in person than on recording. Something about the way the bass player dances like Elvis...
