Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
When I was about 14 I caught Deep Purple; Blue Oyster Cult opened and maybe Foghat. That was way worth the $6 in paper route money. And my dad was the best; he came out to give us a ride home since we were too young to drive. I believe Ian Gillan sang "Jesus" on Jesus Christ Superstar edit: I found the tour schedule, including Norfolk Scope Dec 17 1974 ELF (who?), Deep Purple and Electric Light Orchestra. I remember the show; this was before ELO went pop and stuck with the classical blend like Hall of the Mountain King. Some wook threw a cherry bomb at the cello. So uncool. looking over the schedule I am wrong about BOC/Foghat; another time. But look who they played with: Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Bill Deal and the Rhondells.... I think Pandora has great selections when you enter an individual artist or song, but not a "greatest hit", rather than a genre ("classic rock") or well known band. another favorite channel of mine is "Melissa".

Nashville, TN — On February 23rd, Round Records will release GarciaLive Volume Ten: May 20th, 1990 Hilo Civic Auditorium, recorded in Hilo, Hawaii. The recording captures the only performance by Jerry Garcia on the Hawaiian Islands, outside of the Grateful Dead’s appearance in 1970. GarciaLive Volume Ten is the first 2018 archival release in the continuing year-long celebration of Jerry Garcia’s 75th Birthday. The album will be available as a two-disc set, digital download and at streaming services. The collection features an extensive essay by longtime Grateful Dead publicist and author Dennis McNally. Pre-order for GarciaLive Volume Ten: May 20th, 1990 Hilo Civic Auditorium can be found at Garcia Family Provisions.

I'm pretty sure I saw them twice, back then. I love the song "Lazy".
But their greatest gift to us young boys was Smoke on the Water--that and Doobie's China Grove, and we could rock like rock stars with a cheap guitar and a fuzz box.
