Yes, that is about 1 mile, on the corner. There is a free trolley shuttle that runs between the mall and there. I am not 100% sure how late it runs, but probably at least midnight, since school is in session.

Ok, so I have OtherOne, Lobster, Sneake, and myself going and Mccjeff on the fence. Someone suggested Millers as a meet-up pre-show. I'm down for a beer or two before hand, and definitely up for a beer or six after.

Kinda surprised its not sold out but looking at the available seats left, I think day of it will be. Especially those lucky UVAers who get 50% last second deals.

Looking forward to sharing this with ya'll.

I've got a room at the Sleep Inn but it is a single king bed room. You're welcome to the sofa bed (if you're back can handle it, I know mine hates them).

Yes, Miller's is a five minute walk down the mall to the venue. If someone suggests something else I am game but until then this is a good start. I may try to get there earlier and if we can get a head count maybe I can get us a table.

There is a parking garage on Water Street. Pay attention to when they close. They will charge you $50 to open the gates if you get locked in. Don't ask me how I know. There is a parking lot across from the garage that usually has some open spots. I think it costs about $13 for 6 or 7 hours. They will tow you if you don't pay first.

Hitting a brewery sounds appealing. There seem to be 4 that are in the general vicinity. Anyone have any opinions on any of these?

Three Notch'd Brewing Company, 946 Grady Ave (Closes at 11pm)

Champion Brewing Company, 324 6th St SE (Closes at 11pm)

South Street Brewery, 106 South St (Open till 1am)

C'ville-ian Brewing Company, 705 W Main St (nano with not good reviews but who knows)

Thought about hitting Three Notch'd on the way downtown to Miller's and then South Street after the show.

Citizen Burger Bar, 212 E Main St looked good as well.

Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint, 109 2nd St SE also had a good after show beer list.

I do not have any experience with any of these breweries but I would be down for some South Street post show. In fact I am not married to the idea of Miller's for pre-game just that no one had suggested anything else and it is right on the mall five minutes from the venue.
