As expected, it looks like Tent Only is in very close proximity to the event site.
RV parking is adjacent to TO.
There are two areas for car camping - you definitely want to be in the first of the two; although if you are camped in the back of either one, you're going to have a bit of a hike.
Forest Camping in nestled in behind TO.
Family Camping is in front of car camping area #2.



There are shuttle stops at the front of tent only, in front of car camping area #1, in front a family camping, and in the very back of car camping area #2. Are we to assume these shuttles are free? If so, that's amazing.

using a little google fu, i was able to find this thread. this guy claims to know a guy that works for the company that is making the app. he says it should be released in about a week, presumably with a real map. of note, there is a post by another person that says he heard they are "bringing in cell towers." i dont know how much faith i put in this statement, but here's hoping

sort of an afterthought, i wonder if there is a way to hop on Diggs Mountain Rd somehow and cut ahead of the majority of the traffic...

edit: i shot an email over the general info address listed on the lockn website, asking if Diggs would be a viable entrance. we shall see if i ever get a response.  i'd be seriously surprised if they didnt take advantage of that extra road.  since i plan on getting there in the wee hours of thurs morning, if it's a viable entrance i'll be headed straight there. ill bet that the cops will start sending people to that road (again, assuming it's an entrance) once the main entrance starts to back up

Do you think it is safe to assume the they will fill #1 first? Logistically it might make more sense to start filling from the back of area #2 first, although hopefully this isn't the case.

granted i only have very limited fest experience, when i went to roo in '12, i got there sometime after midnight thurs morning. me and my girl were camped pretty much as far away as we possibly could be, the closer parts being taken already. it actually worked out really well, since we were camped on the grass and everyone that was closer had to put up with all the dust flying up from the roads.

Additional observations:

If I'm understanding the venue area correctly, the stages will actually face away from the camping areas, so don't count on being able to hear any of the music from your campsite.

That bad-ass tree looks like it is next to RV camping; car campers will pass it on their way to the venue.

No indications yet as to where Sober camping will be.

Honestly I like walking a long way at festivals, I love walking through camp life. It is the best way to see weird shit, get weirder shit, and meet the weirdest people.

I got an envelope with a welcome letter and a packing slip with no tickets. I called CID Entertainment and they patched me to the ticket place and they took care of it. Although, now I have to get my tickets at will call which sucks.
