A little too heavy on the alt-country if you ask me, but I'd still go and just eat, shop or otherwise skip those sets.

Gonna go ahead and bump 'er to the top in hopes more of you take an interest. Where as Lockin is high rage, Festy is very much more chill rage. Besides, y'all are already missing the farm...

Notes:

Starts at Noon on Friday and goes till 2AM Fri/Sat (don't recall it going that late). Don't have to miss a set with conflicts. 

Blue Ridge Bowl is their 'main stage'.

surprise for some. cabinet will play a set at your campsite for a fee if they are already at that fest. this was arranged by some festy besties, including a buddy of mine. decision was made to open it up, but those who paid got a meet/greet in addition to the set. for those keeping score at home, same buddy who found the tank under his car. good clean living, all I can attribute that to.

Since when does anyone have to pay to meet Cabinet?

For those going, if you haven't seen Jon Stickley Trio make sure you don't miss them.

Festi is also happening close to me, in MA, but there is no camping so it's a no-go. Would have loved it though but don't want to rent a hotel room or have to drive in for the sets.

Fluff, please help me out here. I don't get your point. Change of venue will reduce crowd back to small?

I meant the much larger venue space won't make it feel as crowded. Blue Ridge Bowl alone would cover their main stage and 1/2 the distance to their side stage from last year. With two separate areas this year, and tons more camping space, I don't feel it'll seem crowded. It's all relative since Festy is a small Fest compared to others,but your definition of crowded may vary from my own. Personally, I think getting personal space will be easy, and dancing on the flat in BRB may be tight, but easy to walk back from. The late night crowd in the Bowl @ Lockn will be close to the total pop of Festy.
