What an interesting bit of history. Thanks! The Pusser Painkiller sounds rather tasty.

Sorry to hear Soggy Dollar was a casualty of Irma. News from the islands does not sound encouraging.

It's a great drink and there were some efforts to introduce it to the mainland. I first had it up near Crozet.

I'm afraid, though, the bar and some surrounding accommodations were flattened. But down there, things are often made to be rebuilt.
