Sorry that you have to deal with it; I hope you're feeling better. I had to delay my arrival to Summer Camp and sent everyone else on their way (and made the five hour drive alone, in a storm) because I had to have an emergency root canal. I was fortunate to have great dental insurance otherwise I'd be $1700 in debt. 
My previous shitty health insurance, on the other hand, has left me very, very, very much in debt. The struggle is real, yo.

Dude. I've given birth naturally twice, and would gladly do it again than experience tooth pain. I am eternally grateful to have been born in America where I have access to modern dentistry- even if it's overpriced. Could you imagine the days where some blacksmith or barber just hammered it with a chisel to break your tooth, and then yanked the pieces out?!

So I got to see the whole Klean Kanteen steel pint thing in action at Blue Ox last weekend. It works great. Refill prices are lower because there's no wasted cup/packaging. There are no cups or cans strewn about on the ground. And thumbs up to the Klean Kanteen steel pint for not having a metallic taste (unlike last year's souvenir cups at this fest). I'll be keeping those pints in my camper for future use. All in all...I'm happy that I'll get to experience it all again at Festy.

I agree this is an awesome program and nice not to see solo cups everywhere. My question is this...So I got to see the whole Klean Kanteen steel pint thing in action at Blue Ox last weekend. I saw a hand-cranked dentist drill in operation in Kathmandu in 1981. Another example of how travelling to places like that is a walk back in time--in this case to the 1800's. In the Peace Corps I got to witness the occasional dentist visit. He had one procedure, two shots of Novocaine and extraction. I had to walk away when the excessively rotted teeth would pop as they collapsed between the pliers.Dude. I've given birth naturally twice, and would gladly do it again than experience tooth pain. In some venues (such as the Norva) they put non-alcohol in solid (solo) and alcohol in translucent so the bouncers can spot a hand with an X holding a clear cup and bounce them. Banned until 21, my daughter learned the hard way.
Obviously these practices are not universal. I'll consult the oracles about Lockn this year.
