VIP details email states viewing area is to the right of the stage. I knew from a couple of blog posts the vip view was moving this year. Personally indifferent. Probably good for GA attendees. Thoughts?

really hard to say considering they are changing the entire stage setup. i would LOVE to see what they have planned for the stage exactly. until then, "to the right" doesn't really mean anything to me

Thanks! This will be our 3rd Lockn'. Got the same email. Indifferent in the set up, especially since I have no idea what it'll look like... Maybe Lockn' will release some photos of the grounds prior to opening. Completely stoked with everything else.

I got mine for Super VIP today. A little confusing on the viewing area. But the way I'm feeling I will be back in GA viewing so I can sit. I like the SVIP for taking pics. But the email they sent really didn't have any updated info. Still no times on the schedule. Oh well see when I get there. The late night snacks were somewhere in between heavy hors d'oeuvres and a meal. It's not nuts and chex mix. It's a plate, fork and sit down if you want it to be. Don't want to oversell it, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Admittedly, I'm not the pickiest guy out there. I am vegetarian, so there's that. There's a line to wait in with other kind beautiful people but yes, it was good.

I preferred the side vip viewing areas at L1 to the middle at later ones simply because it was a pain in the ass to wade through the crowd to get in and out to the bathrooms.
Also better for GA in my opinion to get closer to the front.

As long as the wall around this area (shown on the map) is at least 8 feet tall them I am fine with it. Shoulder ride loading zone needs to be clearly marked as well.Really happy with the VIP area on the map.

Looking at the map, the VIP viewing area seems pretty good. Won't have to crowd surf to get in and out, offers a pretty good view without being too offensive to the masses, & it looks like restrooms are close by.
Not sure if the VIP tent is the closest beer location. I will say, if they don't police the view and lots of crashers take it over, I'll be kinda pissed off.
Looks to be a fair compromise from last year, though.

Where the hell is the "VIP Lake" on the map? Mine seems to be missing that point of reference. How the hell am I supposed to tell the woman where to drive me to, if its NOT on the map? She drives the truck, and launches me at the boat ramp. Been doing it that way for at least 25 yrs now.
How the hell do you guys think you're gonna go scuba diving and be fed gin-n-tonics all GD day, if I'm NOT there w me boat? I can't have the woman driving around towing a boat and NOT know where the launch ramp be. No frustrations, please.
I'm on vacation GD!

It's now the Super VIP lake and is not shown on the map. It is "For Your Eyes Only" to the SVIP.

SVIP viewing is the thin strip in front of VIP. Almost too close for my tastes.

Are there entrances from VIP camping and SVIP camping directly into the festival or just the one on the other side of the grounds as it says on the map.
