One of my college roommates dad was a used car saleman in Memphis (weird story) and Ruthie drove a pretty new 225. I always loved the side lights that came on when you were turning a corner. They were essentially headlights that pointed sideways. I forget if they were blinker activated. She, and so we, also drove a brand new 1973 Buick GS Stage 1 blue and white convertible with a 270 horsepower Stage 1 455 CID V8. That car was a beast.

I recall the side lights.

The pedal for bright/dim, and also for the windshield washer.

We also had a pedal to change the radio stations with no one knowing why it did that. "It senses when a bad song comes on and changes automatically" we'd explain to the stoners in the back and they were mystified.

The mirrors could be adjusted from inside but it was mechanical, by a cable. Few had passenger side mirrors; you added one if you trailered.

And there were the stawags with the ejector seat facing rearward in the back.

Lincoln had one with suicide doors and an outside ledge the perfect size of a beer can. A friend took his grandfather's out on Hatteras Point in the soft sand and it did as well as the 4WD's.
