The ONLY problem with that equation, which I like very much, is Bonnaroo. $275 (Early Bird) and 130 acts, $2.11 per act.

Well, I'm only quoting the price of acts I saw (33/39)..... and at Bonnaroo, it's impossible to see everything. I won't try to talk anybody into preferring one festival over another. My cost for L4 was $~240 with tent camping and admission included.
So, Bonaroo would have been more. I would not have liked the music as much. I would not have been able to see nearly all those acts (obviously) which means an apples-to-apples comparison is difficult.
I continue to maintain that a festival ticket is tremendous value for the entertainment received.

I do think some other festivals also offer a tremendous value. Right now I can buy Rooster Walk with camping for $135. That includes 2 sets of Yarn.

Totally agree. Like I said, I really like that way of thinking. Using those metrics L4 may have been the most expensive fest I have ever been to. I only saw 18 or 19 sets I guess 20-21 if you count Phish as 2 sets each night. So it was a whopping $15 per set or thereabouts. One year at B'roo I did see all or some of 80+ sets. That had to come out to about $3 and change a set.

I counter the show's expense with the fact that lockn is a half day's drive, for me. Less time off work; no hotels on the shoulders.
