I thought of something else I'm really hoping for this year. I really hope that the car camping spaces are marked out with lines this year, assuring that everyone gets the 450 square feet they were promised. Not that I'll be in car camping this year...it's just something I really wished for last year when we were trying to set up in the dark...and the next morning when we were forced to move everything back out of the fire lane that we were guided into in the dark the night before.

I didn't think about it at the time, but if memory serves me, Sue is right - they encouraged bike usage, but I don't remember much in the way of legit bike racks.
And I'm not sure if I expect a trolley this year or not; although, that is one of my bigger gripes from last year. We were told there would be a "free" trolley that shuttled people from the campgrounds to the venue. Needless to say, such a magical trolley did not exist.
I can live without it, but I'd like to know if it is an idea that they're still kicking around or if they abandoned it for logistical/financial reasons. Something tells me that insuring such a trolley would be expensive. Attachments:

in the good old days they's just have a farm wagon pulled by a tractor cruising along you could hop on and off, even carry ice, etc. Like Cassidy and Kerouac on the road.
but life is too litigious now. People are too whiney, too. so everyone walks.

beer prices are always high at a function. So is a hot dog compared to grocery store prices.
Bars charge $5 at least for a craft beer. $8 at a festival makes sense.
I don't like the trend of bigger beers/higher prices. For one thing, they get hot (as if they start cold). Then once you've emptied your wallet and filled your belly on one flavor, you can't really go around trying several others--so it defeats the vibe of a craft beer side-fest. Personally I'd like to go back to the old 10 oz draft and drink a lot of different ones--at least as an option.

I've noticed at a few fest (forecastle and roo) they offer souvenir cups that comes with beer I'm it and then you can refill them for cheaper. good idea if you can hang onto your cup. It would be cool if they had a beer card type or pass where maybe you by this card for 100 and you can get 20 beers ($5 a beer) from the beer fest. Probably some law about that too though

me too. just drink, clip to your belt or backpack ect, boogie, refill, repeat.

I bet they will this year. last year there was a taco joint that stayed opens pretty late in shakedown right outside stage area. that were about the only one last year that I recall (and by that time in the night I usually don't recall too much)
