Lockn' Advice 2017

Ok, we're about 3.5 hours away so we'll aim to be there by like 9am.

We just want to make sure we end up in the trees. i guess i'm worried they'll be overrun and my extra money spent on forest camping will be wasted.

We're looking forward to meeting everyone!! the picture of the group looks like a great time!

9AM is late.  We are in line by 4:30-5

Gates open pretty much as soon as it is light enough to search. So likely closer to 6:30ish.

That is pretty darn amazing. Packing to go into a festival is easy. Packing all that crap back into your vehicle to leave is another story. For some strange reason it never seems to fit back together the same way.

You think you'll have less stuff because you ate and drank it but it never works that way; a cooler is a cooler; a half bottle of ketchup is as big as a full one. On leaving, you're a lot less intentional about it. The "station wagon tetris" is part of the excitement of going, as is planning what you pack. Leaving, meh.

Also when I pack to leave, my car is half full already from stuff scattered and stored in it.

The worst is packing after it's been raining.

Yep, and I still have red clay stains on various items from 2 years ago.

At least he remembered the snow shovel. I left mine at home last year. Man,  what a mistake that was.

Some people call it a kaieser blade. I call it a swing blade. Umm huh.

You call it Kaiser blade, you can call it swing blade, you can call it sling blade but you doesn't have to call it Johnson.
