Bring extra Tarps as well imo. Last 3 years we've attached tarps to 3 outta our 4 walls of our EZ up kinda sheltering our tent under it. Last few times it rained our friends tents ended up with water all in the bottom and ours stayed completely dry. Always put a tarp under your tent as well.

Yep-Biggest mistake tent campers make is leaving groundcloth exposed around the footprint of the tent. I like to tuck mine in about three inches from the edge of the tent, and I've never had water wick in through the floor.

Is this someone you know? Feels weird contacting a customer rep out of the blue asking for a deal.
Was thinking about picking up one of these while it's on sale. Doesn't say straight leg, but an amazon review says it is.

Remember, Walmart IS a rental place. 

It sez it has 100 sq ft of shade so it's a straight leg.

That's what I thought, too, but after losing three of the past $50-$70 ones to heavy wind and/or rain I figured I was over half way there, so I jumped.

No canopy is bulletproof - wind gusts and heavy rain will take their toll on even the best staked down, heaviest built etc. etc. That being said, they are still a festy must have for me. I view them as sort of a disposable item - go in knowing they may not withstand the elements and then hope for the best. If I'm leaving camp and I know it'll be windy, I lower it as much as I can and that has always kept it from blowing away. Heavy rain pooling on the top has done in a few but I now use a pretty big tarp that I can stake to the ground on 1 side, drape over the top and tie down on the other side. No more water build up and a side wall too.
