I had a long phone conversation this evening with my friend and have a few answers.
Can we please keep this thread on topic? The more spam in here, the harder it is to extract questions and convey important information.
- Plastic, wood, and rubber tent stake hammers will be allowed. No metal parts allowed, including hooks.
- A work truck full of tools, no matter how safely locked, will almost definitely not make it through.
- Dogs belong to the county police and there is absolutely nothing Lockn can do about it. It is the prerogative of the police.
- There will be more security and lights in the campground areas in order to prevent theft and maintain order. Be chill and it won't be an issue.
- Lumni camping: "free for all" simply refers to no predetermined camping spots. There will be fire lanes for emergency vehicles. Visitors will likely be allowed if escorted, similar to VIP in the past.
- If you cooperate and don't have any flagrant violations it is extremely unlikely that you would have to open up your popup.
- Dates will remain the same due to competition with Nascar and other events in September.
- Early arrivals Thursday morning will be lining up in lanes on the track. Portos and vendors will be present, making the wait much nicer and entrance better organized. No more field of broken dreams.
- One case of beer limit is the standing rule, but seems many disagree. Topic is being pushed and there may be some hope, but no promises.
- Some of the questions that cannot be changed before the fest (VIP swag, etc) will be offered after fest in order to prioritize the more important topics.
Keep the questions coming. I'll do my best to get them answered
What's meant by "including hooks"? Like, metal S-hooks are no good? I don't understand the stake hammers answer! No metal tent stakes? I don't think that's the intent. Please explain, if possible!
I tend to turn off the lights in the campground if they are too obnoxious. Also, I tend to be out of order a lot, is that against the rules? Don't understand this one either.
If I break the rules by launching a Chinese lantern, are they going to shoot me up with multiple doses of ketamine? Because that would be a significant deterrent.
