Prohibited Items - Flags of Any Kind or Size

I usually wrap my illegal Tabasco, Worcestershire and horseradish in my flags. Now what am I going to do?

The rubber mallet exception kills me--mine is so old it's petrified and could do way more damage than Maxwell's silver one ever could.

But speaking of which--I always thought the knife thing was extreme b/c we all cook and all need one. But last year a tripping guy came into my sister's RV and lost it and got all belligerent; she noted that their small knife was sitting out on the counter and so there was some risk there. The "prohibited" category will help the non-trouble makers keep those items out of sight, a good policy for all.

My guess is that they won't confiscate a flag but tell you not to fly it, and they won't be going through the camps looking for innocent ones. Really, it's got to be for the show field, but if some one tries something ass-holish up in camp, they can point to the rule to deal with it.

And kitchen knives...

Ok you're an off-shore fisherman so you know how to set baits with kites, right? So since "no drones" maybe you can drop-ship some ICRB's into the show field for us? Bring your snap swivels!

Why am I not surprised.

Just speculating. But it could also be a preemptive move to avoid confrontations over confederate flags.

Oh, I'm quite sure after Charlottesville, they wanted to do *something* (even if it's wrong).

So they probably contemplated "no political flags," but then they were confronted with "well what would be considered political or not," which is not an easy judgment call.  Calling out specifically the confederate battle flag *could* have worked, but then there are ones like the Gadsden flag (which I have seen at festivals and Lockn' in the past, and in this environment could be considered an issue), and then someone mentions "well we don't want Antifa flags either..."

So they come up with a blanket "no flags."  Which is really extreme, and when they got to that point they should have just realized the whole thing was a lost cause. But "gotta do something" probably became the overriding goal.

So, I mean, I get it.  Doesn't make it the right decision.  But I understand how they got there.

I knew someone would say that. I have "flags" with no holes and I have tapestries "with" holes (grommets). I have a really nice 36 x 108 tapestry (no holes)  that I am going to fly from my tapestry pole...
