I guess I was trying to say I'm fine with the function and without the expense of the art. I'm there for the sounds; the art can go to Burning Man if they can buy another band or two with the savings.

Hi all been off the internet consciously... To much blah and political mish mosh propaganda... I really enjoyed the layout last year. The stages close together - The RV/Forest camping had a side entrance that was great, no showers out that way but if you cut across the show field and out the main entrance the shower trailer was right there. Most of the time in 16' the Phish/Ween/MMJ year most of the track was empty with the crowd posted up under the food tents, and the crowd grew and grew as the sun faded filling up right at headliner sets. That year was hotter for sure. in 17 the temps were great for a fest and without a half hour hike from shakedown to the stage was a treat. The elusive Dead & Company and will they play??? I would say since the FTW and the new D&C we know a few things. Phil doesn't want to tour, The Grateful Dead is no more FTW was the final curtain. Bobby and Phil are going to do some duo shows coming up. Bobby was very active popping up to sit in and popping up all over the venue last year. I think if D&C is named on the line up it would bring in ticket sales at a massive rate. This could be why an announcement has yet to be made. If you are going to take all the liability and risk putting on an event you would want your ticket prices to be at the highest tier when the word hits the streets. We could use less of Sheriff John Brown hawking the camping and just generally freaking people out. Heard they were strolling through Garcia's forest in the wee hours just rolling up on people. They are going to give us a great 4 days with or without D&C, would it be amazing to have them, of course.

Fair point. Phil just seemed like a staple in some ways. Like at peach fest they always had the cabinet late night set. It was a constant. The fest won’t feel the same this year without the cabinet late night set. Anyhow, I can’t wait for the announcement. If DC is the headliner, I wonder what kind of strength the undercard will carry

I guess I spoke too soon then when I told Shapiro that all anybody on this forum is hoping for was four nights of headlining sets from the Phil/Graham duo.

And the amount of butt hurt when it didn't happen would probably cause a black hole.
