Wanting some opinions too. Like, how was the food? Can you see the bands in the svip area while seated? Were golf carts readily available for rides around the site? Went GA last year. Doing VIP this year possibly SVIP if it seems worth it. I hope they announce which acts are playing in the SVIP lounge. That would help decide.

I did the SVIP last year. For me it was worth it just for the VIP-RV camping. Being able to hear the music from my camper was great. The super vip tent was located to the right of the main stage. You could see and hear the music from the outside seating area. Once in the tent, the music was really muffled. The food was pretty good. Not having to worry about cooking was nice. The SVIP lounge was nice for Jorna & Warren. During the Bob & Phil night, it was really packed and hot in there. It was still really cool.

I only used the golf carts once. Seemed like a long wait sometime, so I just hiked it. They did have water and softdrinks most of the day. The ac bathroom was nice and kept pretty clean most of the time. I have heard the porta johns were bad on the other side.

The SVIP viewing areas in the main field were great for me. I was able to put a chair up there and watched every act. Not being able to stand for long periods is an issue. Being above the main crowd made seeing the stage easy. During Further got a little crazy up there with all the dancing. The VIP areas down front were not my thing. They were setup at an angle on each side. I have heard they are changing that this year.

Though I know some folks in 'glamping' had an issue with where they parked - as the car parking did not come with the package(if I understood them correctly).

There were 30 minute massages which helped tremendously!

The g/f and I will be putting this (and I'm sure a couple more items down)...in a follow up with CID.

I did met Erica, who is responsible for the two areas (only 1 above here iirc).
She was very nice and I told her we'd comment on the bad...AND the good - and thanked her for looking into the concerns as they came up.

....yes...the viewing was fantastic. I think the VIP folks were also pleased - though I did see the comments about non-vip getting in...so it may just be a more security thing.

There's also the issue about 'shuttle' service for SVIP - it wasn't clear...and at first CID was like 'there is none'....lol. That changed a little and we did have some access to golf carts.

Oh...and WTF...no tee-shirt with the treats...nice poster...but no tee-shirt???

Many aspects of VIP were "worth it" although it wasn't all that. Like you found, the supposedly AC tent was not ablel to keep up with

Poor choices of beer--either two similar IPA's or Bud light which is not even beer IMO. So if you aren't an IPA fan or are tired of

Speaking of chairs they were ridiculous in GA, where I spent most my time. At night, up front, with everyone standing, WTF? You like
taking up space looking at guys' butts? And worse, those stupid giant shade tents set up after dark? And big lines of empty chairs set
up at 2:00 "for later"? They really need to come through around 5:00 and move them all out and back. it was a major conflict IMO.

I agree about the crazy amount of empty chairs in GA and VIP- what a hassle. We folded and stacked half a dozen so
we could dance. Leave the chair at camp if you're planning on abandoning it

You got 30 minute massages at no additional cost? Now THAT might help sway me next year. We only did VIP. Even then I was shocked that there wasn't complimentary coffee for the Sunday brunch. The viewing area we had was pretty sweet, but it was a total pain in the ass to get to and from it through the main field for the late shows. I sure could've used someone to rub down my dawgs each day.

Golf cart transportation was always available to take you anywhere. You just had to go to the SVIP lounge and ask CID to radio you one.

Free daily 30 min. massage. Had to make an appointment. Sign-up began at noon everyday. Wife and daughter did them, not my thing.

Had the daily Lockn' newspaper available every morning in the lounge. Gave a nice summary of what happened the day before...that really helped me remember what I saw...dead brain cells.....

There was a full time bathroom attendant who kept the bathrooms and showers clean throughout the day and night.

There was daily campsite trash pick-up. Guys came by and emptied your trash directly from your campsite.

We were told on numerous occasions that it was 'hit or miss' with getting a cart - that there were NO dedicated carts. That changed sometime on Friday evening.

Yes - we were told no carts!

Hey - which van were you? We had the suburban at the with the flags on the tents! (smiley/stealie/American)

Total was blown away bye the 4 or 5 rows of empty chairs in front of the sound board.

As with GA - VIP should not have allowed chairs in front of the sound board.

There was enough room to not be crowded - IF - those were gone.

Never had a problem getting a golf cart the 3 times we wanted one. 1) took us to ADA for the meet and great. 2) took us to Shakedown for Bustle in Your Hedgegrow latenight. 3) took us to Triangle for early Sunday Grateful Gospel. We were able to flag a cart down for return trips from Shakedown and Triangle too. Had to walk back from ADA.

I was told the same thing as Gratefulone, no carts on Friday & they could not even give me a way to walk around the outside to ADA without going thru the venue. For Bustle in Your Hedgegrow they said they could take us out but were on our own to get back. I was already putting bandaids on my sore feet so I didn't want to take a chance trying to walk back.

Don't know what the food was like in year one since this was my first Lockn and obviously first SVIP but we though the food was pretty damn good, considering its a festival and all the logistical challenges.

My wife is one of the best cooks ever, very hard to please, and she didn't even complain.

I thought the food in the big tent was great, very good variety and not just hot dogs and funnel cakes, and very reasonably priced. Waits were short; good set-up to stand and eat.
I hit one VIP meal--the Sunday brunch--late in the day and it was good, too.

Wow. Unreal news. My wife received super VIP tickets today from her work. I went to first lockn and just did the regular tent camping. It was the best festival, but I never imagined I would get to go back. I can not believe we are getting to go together and experience Super VIP. I look forward to meeting you all and having a great weekend. R
