In DC there is a prolific pop up store economy. Buy a trinket of some kind, get a free gift J. Cops have hassled them recently.Similar to DC? My understanding is that there is no way to buy legally. No clubs, no stores, no dispensaries (except maybe medical?). One can possess and one can gift/be gifted; and one can grow. I may be wrong, though!

During Prohibition it was legal to drink, and to possess, alcohol; you just couldn't make, buy or sell it. Crazy.
My understanding is that in many "legal" states, only medicinal use is legal, but the threshold of what is medicinal is very low, almost like over-the-counter medicine, so everyone qualifies. And then there's decriminalization, moving in the right direction but not all the way.
The state-by-state patchwork makes it very difficult as does the over-all Federal illegality, which has severe effects on how a business can operate. People living in state border areas and travelling back and forth have complications. And an employer's drug testing doesn't typically give you a pass if you consumed elsewhere legally.
Hard as it is to figure out, and then there's all the internet legal advice--may as well use the internet to do your own knee surgery.
It will sort out, by and by.

We are growing. My boyfriend purchased a grow box and was ready and waiting!Fellow Vermonter, and fellow celebrant. I have to say ... it's a very weird concept to be legal. There is also extol room in there and I started some alfalfa sprouts over the weekend. Two days and they have already grown to 1/4 inch from as! Amazing, natural, efficient!

My wife, wonder woman that she is, isn't keen on having me grow the frosty green. We grow pretty much everything else, with gardens left and right! In fact, we picked up two huge "grow bags" for potatoes, and they sit on the deck. They would be perfect! (I've never grown potatoes; they're firing up in this heat. Per household. It’s about 3 months from seed to full maturity and we will probably yield about 3 ounces but could be more. These plants are GROWING FAST. Right now it’s 18hrs with LED on and 6 hours off. I think we switch to 12/12 soon. I am not the scientist. I live with my own personal marijuana Heisenberg. We can grow 2 mature and 4 immature. Yes, we can gift and be gifted.
