That is exactly what happened! It's an old wooden boat so she takes on water pretty fast unless the bilge is going all the time. I just got another cheap little pump for the week because she comes out of the water today (getting ready for winter) and I am moving back to land....and I am SUPER excited to live on land again.
What happened with the boat? Bilge pump failure? Glad your house didn't sink!I finally got mine off yesterday night. My travels home had some ups and down. At first-delta offered me a free hotel and 1000usd cash to skip my flight and spend the night in New York so obvs I went for it.... however, when I finally got home I found my house(I live in a boat) was almost completely sunk and finally just got everything sorted out now. My house floats again and no permanent damage...and finally...got a knife and cut that sucker(wrist band) off. I still don't feel clean tho...

The advantages to living off grid on a boat I guess is that worst case scenario is all your electronics get rusted out...or you get pirates. I haven't seen any pirates... but my poor computer, kindle, phone, bose speaker and motor. My fridge on the boat is a festival style fridge (coleman cooler, bags of ice and food poisoning every couple weeks)
Glad to hear everything is ok. I know, after being gone a week it's kinda scary to see what you are going to find when you get home. Well, currently I live off grid in a boat off the coast of Nova Scotia. It's an old lobster fishing boat that's been converted into a house boat. Sounds neat but it's actually pretty inconvenient...well it's ok...it's peaceful. I'm taking it out of the water today to get ready for winter. I'm moving back to Saskatchewan. I'm pretty pumped to be a land lubber again.... specially after this week...I ended up in the ocean accidentally 3 times in the last couple days and all of my electronics have completely rusted out.

I don't think you mentioned you were in a boat ON A MOORING. That's changes the game considerably. I'll bet you are glad to be back on shore. Boat life is great - when you don't have to work every day or maintain a schedule of any sort. Even if the boat doesn't move.

I could easily win. If I'm wearing the last 4 years do I get 4 free beers?
Not for everyone and probably against the rules, I use a bread bag wire twisty to cinch up the wristband just enough it can't slip off. I tighten my wristband just tight enough that I can remove it with minor effort. Traveling solo the twisty is easy to apply but a few stitches or maybe even a staple would work. At a small fest I volunteer at I removed my wristband each shift because it was wet and muddy. I used a powder blue twisty this year and you couldn't see it(yellow in photo is for contrast). Also the Literature that accompanied the wristband suggested you place it on your "RIGHT" wrist, I prefer putting it on my non-wiping wrist but I didn't cause rules.

Good move but no, once you take it off you are out even if you put it back on (I have a couple I've slipped off).
Reminds me of a post a couple years ago where a guy was so excited when he got his wristbands in the mail he tried it on, tightened it, then realized he had to wear it for three weeks until the fest!
