Time to unlock this thread. Excitement is building to a fever pitch. The debate over how many sets Phil will get and/or deserves has begun and will likely continue until well after LOCKN has turned off the lights so everything here is Just. Exactly. Perfect. Early bird ticket sales end on January 17 and the LOCKN lineup is set to drop on January 20 (which probably means February sometime because well, LOCKN's gonna LOCKN
)
Donna and thelizard have graciously offered to host the M&G again and I suggest that we accept their generous offer. Last year was killer. I think that we should have some sort of recognition this year for our members that have passed on, waycha and FishinHatteras . Might also be cool to recognize any first timers to our M&G.
Pictures from all of our M&Gs are at the bottom of the home page. In case you have forgotten how awesome it was last year I have included that photo here.

And for first timers, a feature of the M&G for those who want to, is the International Canned Craft Beer Exchange, which began at L2 from discussion of non-bottled beer to bring, and the people bringing their home town favorites--or home brew for that matter. And way back then, fewer crafties were canning.
The theory is that you bring 8 beers from home, drink three of something else while hanging around, then take 3 of something else back home. The other two are accounted for in the tasting--there will be small cups and samples passed around, sometimes by an international character actress. But it's not that precise; no one's counting.
Those who don't want to throw in are still welcome to participate in the drinking and tasting; you just don't get toting privilege.
I usually save my take-homes until I get home, and evoke fond memories while drinking them later.
Folks also often bring snacks to share.
It's hard to shake away for the music but the location is a couple minutes from the gate.

Does the M&G take place where people who are staying off-site can attend? My wife and I might have to bring our dogs so we have and AirBB about 8 miles away.

I was looking forward to the hippy club scene, writ large on the main show field. Live music just ruins the whole thing. 
Anybody remember when "Garcia's" was a big tent in the middle of Shakedown, circa L2-L3, with disco ball and everything? Good times.

It usually runs about 11-1 pm on Friday but we'll see. Hopefully you can adjust and get there earlier Friday.

Jerry Dance Party is still in play. But wait! There's more! That $30 ticket will be more than worth it.
And yes, I remember the old Garcia's. Wish they still had a legit shakedown like that.

I'm not sure how many of you saw this so I'm posting it again. My friend Kyle is the LOCKN drone photographer. He took this video of us at our 2018 M&G and had the LOCKN team put it into a video for us. It should have said "Thank You LOCKN' forum" but it didn't. That's fine. Pretty cool if you ask me.
