i do not. i've only gotten into this scene in the last few years. i spent the first part of my life listening to metal, etc. funny though, i spent all day at work watching videos of the shakedown scene from the 80s. one in particular was from a friend of eddie's, using his camera. so ya, i have no street cred, but i do love this community so much. just wish it hadn't taken me so long to find it

Upload it to imgur.com first. You don't even need to create an account. Once it's uploaded, copy the link that says "BBCode" from the links on the right hand side and paste into your post. If you switch back and forth from the tabs at the bottom of the editor from Preview to BBCode and back again, you can see what it looks like before posting.

Because our forum is the free version, we have very limited space on the ProBoards server. The attachment function is supposed to be used for smaller stuff, like text files and docs, not large files (relatively) like photos. When you hotlink (yes, that's usually a faux pas, but that's what they're there for) to a photodump like imgur, they take on the bandwidth.

We should all be using photodumps to display embedded photos. It doesn't have to be imgur, but there's a lot to recommend it.



PS: you could also open the photo in your favorite image editing software and scale to a more reasonable size. I like GIMP. Just go to Image>Scale Image and reduce the numbers. Might wanna change it to % instead of pixels. Oh, and make a copy first, if you want to keep the original size.
