Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
I think I saw Carlos Santana doing that when he started up in the Philtana show. With all the hand-washing, if I pulled out my guitar my fingers would be what's shredding, not my style. And the rusty strings wouldn't help. Please note: This forum is in no way officially associated with Lockn' Festival or its promoters.

I had a lot of fun too, but no pictures, yet. It DID happen though. Played along to Whiskey about a dozen times with bass, and went through the chord (root note) progression on the bass another 20 times on my own until it was an earworm (I did not know that song before today). I realized, no need for the capo, I only needed to locate the 4 root notes and go from there. Easier than I expected. Am I wrong, or are they Eb, Bb, C, Ab, given the capo on the guitar? Anyway, it worked well. Got the walk up you played locked in too. I ran through with 1 note per measure, then 2, then 3, then 4. Then mixed it up, and added other notes and tried some two note walk ups. Those extra notes and walk ups and walk downs are where my innovation sucks, but I'm sick of just playing rock star tabs (poorly), so this is excellent exercise. My great guitar/bass teacher used to run me through such exercises and I should be able to figure this out with some help from bass videos. My terminology is sometimes spacey too, in case I say any gibberish here. I'll need about a week to minimize the fret buzz and get some variety in there, but it's coming back. At the acoustic tempo and vibe, just a singled chilled bass note per measure sounded fine.
Next point - have never recorded/filmed myself. Can't guarantee I can do that without searching how-to videos and working on that as well.
I listened to Velvet Sea from both of you, and that sounds great - similar, and feasible for me I think.
I better get some music worked out - I'm killing the buzz with only words.
If we ever jam at a fest, I'll buy an acoustic bass.
