good to know you and welcome! Lockn was my first fest, too, and I went solo. You won't be solo as soon as you are within 50 miles of the gate; once you're in, everyone is your new best friend.

Yo Amy.  I met some totally excellent surfer girls in Costa Rica from Saskatchewan (yeah, I know), and they told me that in their tiny hometown, local girls were judged by how many buckets of feed they could carry at one time.  One was a six bucket woman, one was an eight.  How about you?

BTW, for two people who had never seen the ocean until they left high school, they were admirable surfers.

Most excited for (Thursday): getting my current 3 day weekend pass extended to four day, then JRAD

Most excited for (Friday): for music: JRAD, for history: toots, for saying I got to see him: George Clinton

Most excited for (Saturday): predictable: D&C and TTB in that order

Most excited for (Sunday): predictable: D&C and TTB in that order, curious on Sheryl Crow live and Blues Traveler, and fun of KW Gospel

Artist from the undercard I recommend: pass, but did enjoy Lockn' streaming last year, and enjoyed many bands new to me

The one song I absolutely must hear: one ridiculously long break in the Sunshine Daydream coda, like start it Saturday, finish it Sunday

If I could add one artist to Lockn' it would be: predictable: Jefferson Airplane/CJ&theFish alumni; unpredicted: Nils Lofgren & Friends (OR, Raveonettes)

Prior festival experience: ok, I am a little older: 1980s Blue Bayou Festival Prince George's Equestrian Center; obscure annual 1980s/90s micro-fest "The Thang" in westbygod; Mississippi Delta Blues week Fest 1982 Worlds Fair Knoxville Tennessee (I swear)

Last concert attended: D&C fall 2017 in DC, affectionately called "the Deep Cuts concert" by some in the family
