I'm not used to that at all lately.
Really enjoyed the show though, if you enjoyed the music back in the 80s its a fun time.

They were great. Nels is playing at a level I’ve never seen, and he’s always been fantastic. Really inspired, seemed even cathartic performance for them.

I was super stoked to attend this festival because of the lineup. There was a lot at stake as the wife decided to go with and we were staying in Dryw's new RV, so lot's of potential. Of course, Wednesday I start getting post nasal drip and was sick by Friday. I went for a covid test, negative. Fuck colds, let's do this. We were going to leave our newly solo 15 yr old daughter behind to stay with a friend (she is not divorced, we dropped our son at college recently), so on Friday night she asked if all her friends could sleep over I capitulated out of guilt. Wrong move, they kept me up 'till 3am banging around. I was not feeling great at all on Saturday morning as a result but grabbed a nap in the car.
We arrived at the Kentucky Horse Park campground around 2p and met up with Dryw and his better half. So good to see those people. We had discussed drawing straws for designated drivers but that fantasy quickly dissolved and we decided to take our chances with Uber for the 11 mile commute to the show. On the way there, I offered to pay the driver generous cash to pick us up. She agreed and ended up being our personal chauffeur the rest of the weekend, that was a game changer.
Arriving at the site around 4p, we got through vaccine and security super smoothly and were feeling cocky, if not hot. As was widely shared on the news and social media, the lines for anything were absolutely ridiculous. We quickly got into line for beer and were there for 2 hours. It took 45 mins to get water and another hour for food. At least we chose wisely and were able to watch Black Pumas as we waited. It was hard to really focus on the show though as the heat was brutal. My new Pax2 was a delightful distraction though, thanks to Worf for the recommendation, I absolutely love it.
Once we got alcohol and food, we sat down halfway through Leon Bridges and finally felt like this might be fun. He did a great job and the highlight for me was Texas Sun. I really wanted to see Billy Strings, but we were so hot and tired, I didn't hike over to the other stage. After Leon, a lot of people split from the main stage, so we were able to move up pretty far and I had almost decided to stay with the group and not go down for My Morning Jacket, but I couldn't help it and went pretty deep for most of the show. Opened with Victory Dance. It was great to see Jim and he was so excited to be back. The energy from everyone was excellent. Middle of the set was not my favorite, but got to hear Circuital and Steam Engine, so no complaints, it was so great! We split as OBH started and walked straight to our waiting car. No encore, so we missed nothing.
RV AC. That is all.
Sunday we chilled most of the day. I made it through Saturday night through straight force of will, so the full night sleep and starting to kick my cold meant I was feeling much better. I didn't trust Railbird at this point, so I bought a flask of bourbon and ate a sandwich before I left, heading to the venue around 5p. We set up in the same spot as the day before and I headed over to Band of Horses. This set was exactly what I was looking for this weekend. I got up pretty close and the stage blocked the sun. They were so happy to be back that the lead singer was fighting tears on several songs, having to start over on The Funeral closer. So much positive energy and the crowd was great. Bumping my flask of bourbon and the Pax was an excellent Buzz Management strategy. Favorite set of the festival.
I rolled back over to the main stage in the middle of Jason Isbell & 400 Unit. He is always good, but was more chill than the Lockn set. Perfect for my wife as the MMJ set the night before was pretty heavy and she was not a big fan. He covered "Can't You Hear Me Knockin" which was a great closer. I couldn't make it over to Khraugbin, just too hot.
Dave Mathews Band was never one of my jams, but I was looking forward to seeing them for the first time given their reputation live. He did an excellent job and I seemed to know the first 4-5 songs even though he played them in the evolved live style. We decided to bail earlier that night so didn't see the whole set, but got to hear a quick Huey Lewis tribute and walked out to a version of Sledgehammer and a Stone's cover.
Verdict from the wife? "It was a lot of fun!". Sweet! If she could endure the terrible logistics of this festival, I told her she would think The Farm was Shangri-La. Staying on site, not waiting 2 hours for a beer, going back to the AC to cool off. The best part of the weekend was just getting to hang with Dryw and his wife as well as all the festival energy. My voice is completely wrecked today, so glad to be back in the saddle. Hope everyone felt the same way about the TTB sets.
Cheers, Kuriti.

I just got my ticket. One of my good friends is going so I figured I'd grab one and head there as well. Looks like a great time to me, and the venue is great!
Secondly, I saw some people discussing secondary market tickets. I use the site/app called CashOrTrade - cashortrade.org . Tickets on that site must be sold (or traded) for face value or less. Tons of people use it and it's mostly for jam band shows & festivals. You can literally find tickets to almost any music event, but most are Phish, Dead & Co, JRAD, etc. You can also find upgrades, camping passes, single days, parking passes, VIP, RV passes, etc. I am an annual GOLD member for $48/yr. Without GOLD you have to pay a 10% insurance fee for the tickets + a 3% credit card fee. With GOLD it's just the 3%. Most tickets I buy for under face value. Some people even give tickets away for free (called Miracle tickets), but you have to be quick. Generally speaking, the closer to the event the cheaper the tickets get. It can be a gamble to wait too long, but sometimes something comes up and someone needs to get rid of their ticket(s) quickly. Figured I'd share that site/app with everyone since I've never paid over face value for a secondary market ticket since signing up for it. Plus if you ever need to sell your tickets you can do so there and feel good about not letting some other service get a huge chunk of change in fees.

Big fan of COT here. Use it quite often. Nice knowing you are protected against fake tickets.

In the event that something like that happens they have provisions for it (see the ToS). Plus you get a refund if you end up being SOL. Never happened to me or anyone I know.
