The Ultimate Festival Checklist

Here is the test of my 12v water warmer, or 'how to burn down your house'. It didn't catch on fire, but made me nervous the whole time. I have wired an inline 4 amp fuse to my outlets and the heater had a 15 amp fuse. Plugged it in and instantly blew the 4 amp, which I pretty much expected. Couldn't find a larger fuse so I stuck a bolt in the inline fuse holder and duck taped it closed. The device got the water to "too hot to touch" in 9 minutes. While waiting I fixed the regulator on my propane stove because the electric method is both dangerous and not especially effective. Well, now you know this isn't what you want!

I know both items are listed on the overall list, but I feel the need to reitterate TARP and DUCT TAPE


Shelter from wind/water/sun. Transport things.... The uses are seemingly endless


Every show I see involves a tarp being taped up (and use car bungees!) in a creative way to offer protection or privacy (before I pass out naked in the open anyways)

or better yet, go to your local goodwill and buy a cheap roll out carpet. it's a wonderful thing if you like to walk around barefoot. sometimes the dry grass can be quit painful

Going back to coolers... I broke down and got an Engel ENG65 for a good deal on Amazon and testing it now. It's been outside since Sunday night, in the hot sun with a tarp over it and the ice blocks are still substantial, ice still in the ziplocks too. I got a cable lock and am going to lock it to my car. Good cooler - recommended. Like the Yeti, it has 2" of insulation all around but it's cheaper. Heavy though.

Yeah, it's a goodie.  For $276, I think it's a good deal for something that holds ice for 5 or so days.

I put down a 9' x 20' RV mat with an Oriental (fake) rug on top. Luxurious on my bare feet...

i saw somebody at wanee in 2014 (?) that had a gigantic, 3 compartment tent, and he brought a small pile of red bark to lay down at the entrance, with an welcome mat on top. fucking baller

I got one of these a few years ago. Also got a cheap RV water pump 12v,self priming, auto on/off.  

That's outrageous amount of money for a cooler..... I have a normal Coleman cooler been using for about 5 years.  I use frozen bottles of water to pack it when I leave. top it with ice over the weekend and there are always frozen bottles at the bottom on Sunday....
