Willie's Joint! They make it sound like you'll be able to buy weed there. Not! Not yet anyway.

JRAD weekend will be Lockn #7 for me (I guess it counts as a Lockn?), so I know my way around the place pretty well, but I am having trouble picturing the lay of the land where Car Camping is, right behind the stage. Is it level? Is it down in a ravine? What's been there previously? For the last several years, I've car-camped in VIP inside the racetrack, so for that reason (and absolutely no other reason, I'm sure...), my recollection of the hillside heading up to Garcia's Forest is a bit hazy. Anybody able to jog my memory?

I camped there last year and it's level enough; at one year they had RV's there. As TOO said, a little steep at the edge closest to the stage but it's a good area; can't be more convenient. 


But you'll need to make sure the wasto's running the store don't crank music all night and early, or during the shows, or during the day. No one wants OPM at a festival!  The owner was responsive last year about that.

I also camped one year where Single/sober is.  Way too far away; dusty and noisy from Garcia's.  Maybe they'll slide it down some.  They just don't want the vehicle traffic through the other two sites.

Hopefully something like this...

I got VIP just so the wife could sit in the VIP lounge's AC all day if she chooses. She isn't a huge JRAD fan so anything I can do to keep her happier will make the weekend better for me.

But yea the VIP deal seemed less interesting for this type of event.

And I guess if they aren't mailing wristbands/car passes you can cross off expedited entry from the list of benefits.

And watch, it will be nice and cool all weekend so she won't even need/want go in there.

Yeah, the wife is **tentatively** in for weekends 2 and 3.

Once I know that she's in, I'll be pulling the trigger

Maybe we'll bring an inflatable pool to the M&G.

you joke but my wife was totally thinking of doing that at our site until I explained it would take most of the RV’s tank to fill it and would become a lovely red clay tone in the first hour of use.

Remember how I said I was getting VIP so the wife could sit in the AC VIP lounge all day if she wanted...
