~~Peach Music Festival Scranton PA June 29-July 2, 2023~~

GA+ is new, someone over on the reddit said the 200 level won't be open to GA this year for the headliners.

This festival seems to have one thing in common with lockn, every year that I'm there I hear from 10 different people who know someone who knows someone that this year is going to be the last year. Usually its something about live nation losing its lease with montage. And yet it keeps coming back.

A guy who had the schedule last year before the scheduled was released says this year its going to be TTB Goose MMJ JRAD as the headliners.

He was wrong about a few other things last year though, so take it with the usual 'a guy on the internet said' levels of trust.

This lineup seems great. I'm glad I got the early bird tickets.

I'm going to have to listen to more MMJ.

When I heard them on siriusxm jamon occasionally I've always thought they were just a guy moaning with lots of reverb.

And I'm also going to have to reacquaint myself with Ween.

I know them mostly from a long time ago on the altrock station I used to listen to, and I was always a bit mystified when they played Roses are Free and Banannas and Blow on siriusxm jamon.

Idk. If lockn can pull billy strings and weir et al with some other stuff like this it’s a serious contenda, especially with better grounds

We've only seen Ween once, at Lockn year Phish. It was not good.

We just spent a long weekend visiting our eldest in Maryland. It was a combo Thanksgiving / Christmas visit and it was a lot of fun. We spent some time just hanging out playing board games around the kitchen table. My daughter played some background music. It was more than pleasant, it was quite good. Turns out to have been Ween. I was shocked. Spent a little time surfing through their library which is voluminous and varied. I didn't like all of it but quite a bit of it was very good. I'd give them another chance.

To me the experience is temporal and not absolute. It depends on who you're with, where you are, your mood, and another 146,957 variables.

I guess I'm going to peach this year. Anyone have a tent I can borrow? I can also buy one when I get there. I might be driving from Quebec. YAY!

We'll be at Peach this year, doing that mountain top glamping! Would love to see all of y'all who make the journey
